In this role, you have the opportunity to Design, develop and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies, components, and equipment during New Production Introduction (NPI) and Production processes. Ensuring all discrepant components and fully assembled products are tested and reworked/repaired to meet company standards and objectives and all customer requirements. Provide direct input back to the Production and Engineering Teams on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly and Test process improvements. You are responsible for * Leading the rework/repair actions for new products/assemblies as well as material dispositioned by the Material Review Board (MRB) for the product line. * Analyzing test data to identify faults and recommend improvements in process or design * Completion of any or all shop floor manufacturing/assembly processes as needed to include but not limited to special processes, sub-assembly and top-level assembly in accordance with operations manual, written instructions, and defined best practices * Following detailed instructions on work when applicable/availble however must have a level of independent action to diagnose and return any discrepant assemblies back to the Production Value Stream * Documenting all manufacturing/assembly and rework/repair actions in detail by completing required production and quality forms (paper/on-line) * Providing input back to the Operations Team during Tier I Meetings on issues affecting production fallout/RTY. * Building technical relationships with key stakeholders and providing insight into improvements and benefits of Mercury's unique value add. * Collaborating with the NPI, Systems Engineering and Production Test teams to design and implement diagnostic test scripts or applications * Assisting with (may lead) developing methods to capture, archive and report test data * Assisting the Quality and/or Engineering teams with technical actions associated with RCCA/Failure Analysis of electronic assemblies * Assisting with (may lead) automation of testing methods to improve efficiency of testing and diagnostic processes * Assisting with (may lead) training of Assembly Technicians and Mechanical Assemblers to resolve issues related to poor workmanship/quality of product * May assist with equipment maintenance, calibration, and repair services following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures * Maintaining a work environment that complies with the company's 6S program You are a part of An Operations Team that delivers on what we promise when we promise it.
