Job Description
Your Responsibilities
As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for the fabrication, layout, alignment, and fitting of materials into products while following blueprints and specifications using applicable tools and equipment.
Performs quality checks on completed products.
Responsible for meeting fabrication schedules, completes work orders and assignments according to guidelines/timelines.
Report job and schedule status to supervisor/manager as appropriate.
Read specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.
Inspect materials, products and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Monitor item stocking and min/max levels to determine reorder needs.
Perform equipment inspections
Perform site safety inspections.
Responsible for all aspects of safety compliance of department.
Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned per the CBAs.

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Pressure Vessel Welder role in Gresham, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for precision fabrication, innovation, and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship. With decades of experience serving critical industries, they take pride in producing reliable, high-performance welded assemblies that meet the most demanding standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform high-quality welds on pressure vessels, tanks, and related components using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
· Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with ASME standards.
· Set up, calibrate, and maintain welding equipment to achieve consistent results.
· Conduct weld inspections and make necessary repairs or adjustments to maintain integrity and compliance.
· Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys as required by project specifications.
· Follow strict safety procedures and quality control guidelines throughout the welding process.
· Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
· Maintain accurate documentation of welds, inspections, and material certifications as required by company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in pressure vessel or structural welding.
· Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
· Current or previous ASME Section IX certification (or ability to obtain) strongly preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and weld symbols.
· Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat control, and weld quality requirements.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing safe, compliant welds.
· Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in a fabrication shop environment.
