Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to assure proper functions and duties in inventory control, quality, and safety.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Interprets work orders & pick sheets following written instructions
Identifies and can determine common extrusions used for fabrication of doors and frames produced at facility
Identifies and can determine finish and part # codes
Inspect and perform daily maintenance of the fabrication equipment
Interprets fabrication paperwork, including but not limited to fab-sheets, order acknowledgements, cut sheets, and drawings.
Loads materials onto carts to prevent damage in transit
Properly extract inventory for production and performs routing transactions and cycle counts with handheld scanners.
Properly and safely use the cut saw, punch presses, and other fabrication machinery.
Identify and follow steps and procedures to install hardware
Keeps assigned work area clean in accordance with 5-S Protocols
Complete any other related duties required and/or assigned by supervisor or manager.
Will train to operate equipment used in performing these duties
Operates a stand-up side loader or standard industrial fork truck to move materials to designated areas.
Employee must be able to stand for minimum of eight (8) hours

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Skilled, Experienced Fabricator to join our team! In this role, you will construct Architectural products from Metal Stock and Laser cut Components, ensuring all pieces meet prints and specifications. This work will include everything necessary to go from prints to finished parts; including You must be able to read and follow schematics and adhere to a strict production schedule while always prioritizing safety.
Responsibilities
Cut and or prep all necessary parts for the product.
Confirm measurements of parts and proper fit
Fixture and Weld out the product
Grind, polish and clean the product and prepare it for finish or shippng
Check products after production to ensure consistency and quality
Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues
Adhere to a strict production schedule
Qualifications
Previous experiences as a Fabricator or in a similar position
Fabrication training or certification
Welding Training and competency in Mig, Tig and Stick of Steel, Stainless and Aluminum
Experience operating Fabrication and material handling machinery
Excellent manual dexterity and vision, ability to lift heavy materials safely
Highly detail-oriented
Strong organizational skills
Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints
Cad / Cam experience
Expertise in grinding and polishing metals after assembly to Architectural Standards
Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Job Description:
Works from blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions to produce high quality welds from a variety of exotic metals.May program, set up and operate robotic welding machines.
Responsibilities:
Welds metal components to fabricate products, parts or equipment.
Repairs products of parts by straightening or reshaping with or without the use of heat and/or hydraulic equipment.
Achieve or surpass routed standards.
Calculate side lengths and/or angles using trigonometric charts and tables.
Figure flat layout, setup and operate various equipment to form sheet, plate and structural shapes to produce properly sized material.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in MIG & TIG welding of carbon steel, stainless, Inconel and aluminum.
Ability to run basic fabrication equipment (shear, cut-off saw, etc.)
Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with robotic weld machines is a plus.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WELDER / MIG FABRICATOR
As a MIG Welder / Fabricator, you are responsible for the layout, fitting, and welding of steel. Before you begin welding, you carefully read blueprints and prep parts so that you can finish the job correctly. Always attentive to detail, you ensure that your welding and fabrication meets our high-quality standards as well as production goals.
In addition to producing exemplary products, you also maintain shop safety by carefully operating equipment and establishing good habits. QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of welding experience
Experience in MIG welding
Ability to lift 60 lbs

Welders are responsible for repairing containers, fleet vehicles, compactor repairs in shop atmosphere and assisting with compactor installations in the field, along with other weldable materials by applying appropriate techniques and using various welding devices as needed. This includes fabricating, sanding, grinding, cutting, torching, drilling, welding and/or repair work on company and/or customer containers, compactors, and placing of containers or compactor equipment. Level of responsibility and repair work may vary by location.
Responsibilities of Position:
Perform sanding, grinding, cutting, torching, drilling, welding and other fabrication or repair work on company/customer containers, compactors, and assisting with placing of containers or compactor equipment
Grind metal parts after welding
Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding equipment
Fabricate steel components on containers
Cut steel using a plasma cutter, circular saw, band saw, chop saw, torch or nibbler
Perform related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal and plastic parts
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company, ANSI, and OSHA standards
Complete required paperwork utilizing computer systems
Utilize standard shop hand tools, measuring devices, and equipment
Install lids, wheels and lock setups on containers
Paint repaired and/or new containers
Assist with compactor installations as needed
Assist in other projects or areas of the shop as needed
Communicate in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, coworkers, and management
Complete hydraulic component repairs as needed
Use overhead crane lifting devices and aerial platforms as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will not manage employees
Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:
Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude
Ability to learn cutting torch skills to use plasma cutter
Knowledge of small shop tools
Ability to operate a forklift/skid steer safely
