What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities): Assist in onsite metal panel fabrication, operating tools and machines with precision. Load and drive Class A or B commercial vehicles across Florida, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries. Support warehouse operations, including staging, receiving, inventory management, and product inspection. Perform equipment checks and complete daily logs for maintenance and compliance. Lift and transport materials (50+ lbs), working both indoors and outdoors as needed. Communicate clearly with dispatch, fellow team members, and customers on site. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operates bar shears, bar bending machines, #2 bar machine, metal band saws, acetylene torch, cable cutting saw, etc. Operates forklifts and overhead cranes. Receives steel orders from drafting/engineering and fabricates components to fill the order. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing sheet metal products and operating machinery to create precision components to manufacture industrial control equipment buildings. It requires proficiency in reading technical drawings, using fabrication tools, and ensuring product quality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Operate sheet metal machinery such as metal brakes, shears, rollers, and CNC machines. Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials according to specifications. Willingness to cross train for multi-function structural and piping assembly processes Essential Functions Fluent in understanding job specific WPS / PQR's and capable of setting machine up for performance in all positions to certified testing criteria. Analyze blueprints for welding insignia and the application thereof to assembly components on piping and structural systems. The ability to identify correctly, measure, hand dress, cut and fit prepare metal surfaces for welding process to be completed per job specific requirements. Capable of visual observation of pre- and post-welded surfaces; and the interpretation of fulfilled job requirements with micrometer, caliper, and other precision measuring instruments. Technically proficient in the interpretation of insufficient weld criteria and knowledge to efficiently blend to repair. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solver who can understand and follow instruction. Accountability for completion of daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations. Operate overhead cranes and or forklifts. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements and is physically / medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHA standards. Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Related experience or training. Preferred Education and Experience 6+ Years' experience in Welding SMAW, FCAW and GTAW, or a combination. 2 years vocational technical training.
