Align and fit parts according to specifications, using various clamps, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers, etc.
Position, align, fit, and weld to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints, and layout specifications, using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
Set up and operate fabrication machines, such as saws, rolls, shears, flame cutters, iron workers, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drills; form and assemble metal components.
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions when necessary
Weld separately, or in combination, using, aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, and other occasionally alloys.
Be proficient in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) as required
Capable of working around and using overhead cranes and rigging, as needed.
Maintain good housekeeping habits
Turn in all time, required paperwork; to include vendor tickets, and material requisitions
Operate equipment in a safe manner
Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of the essential duties
Work with and around hazardous materials, as well as at heights and in confined spaces in the performance of these essential duties
