POSITION DOES REQUIRE LOCATION TO OUR COTTAGE GROVE, WI OR ALBUQUERQUE, NM LOCATION WITHIN 60 TO 120 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT. Telecommunication Tower Field Welder -Level 1 will learn and be trained perform a wide variety of field specific job duties. We travel throughout the US and although the travel is extensive, we look to schedule employees for 2-3 weeks in the field at a time. Time off is backlogged after each deployment. Employees wanting greater pay have the option for longer assignments. All welders must be able to perform welding while in a fall protection harness, in rain, in wind, extreme heat, and extreme cold. Welding is not performed under ideal conditions. Welding "out of position" requires welders to complete welds with both hands and with items blocking your vision. A WELDER MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO CLIMB TO HEIGHTS OF 500' TO COMPLETE WELDING TASKS. A welder must be able to lift more than 50 lbs., and have the ability to travel extensively out of state for extended periods of time, including overnight and weekends.
