Responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, sheet metal fittings. Refurbishes equipment returned from stores to like new condition in order to return to inventory.
Responsibilities:
Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
Layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, such as roofing panels, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers
Select gauges or types of sheet metal or nonmetallic material, according to product specifications.
Fabrication of custom stainless steel products
Operating forklifts for loading and unloading materials
Custom welding with a variety of processes. Metal forming, bending, and finishing. Repair, design, layout, and estimation.
Repair equipment when it breaks and perform all preventive maintenance on all metal fab equipment.
Refurbish store equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, petroleum equipment to like new condition. Troubleshoot, diagnose issues and make repairs to equipment according to established procedures to minimize parts usage.
Attend and participate in all work related meetings and training classes. Maintain all certifications as required by manufacturers and local/state/federal law.

Position Overview
The
Fabrication Lead
is a working leader responsible for directing and supporting a small crew of skilled tradespeople in JGMs structural steel fabrication shop. Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, the Lead ensures assigned work is performed safely, efficiently, and to JGMs quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of structural steel fabrication, hands-on welding/fitting skills, and the ability to coach, direct, and motivate crew members in daily production.

Leadership & Crew Management
Direct daily activities of 24 fitters, fabricators, and welders.
Assign tasks based on production schedules, drawings, and priorities set by the Supervisor.
Provide on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and skill development to crew members.
Ensure crew members comply with company policies and maintain a professional work ethic.
Safety & Compliance
Lead crew in following JGM safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Conduct daily safety checks in the work area and enforce PPE compliance.

Position Overview
The Fabrication Lead is a working leader responsible for directing and supporting a small crew of skilled tradespeople in JGM's structural steel fabrication shop. Qualifications
* 5+ years of structural steel fabrication experience.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and blueprints.

* Strong understanding of AISC standards and welding/fitting practices.
* Ability to work independently while also following direction from the Supervisor.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Under the supervision of the E&A supervisor or group leader, the technician will perform all functions under this job description. This includes all necessary functions to maintain a clean and safe shop. Complies with all Company and Safety Policies and procedures in the performance of assigned duties.
Welds all vessels (including large ASME) and structural components utilizing SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW and GMAW welding processes. Performs these procedures to meet CCC certified procedures. (These may include ASME, API, AWS, and ANSI code certification.) Materials may include carbon steel, stainless steel and various other nickel-based alloys.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
* Able to pass non-destructive testing of pressure retaining welds, on both pipe and vessels
* Works from drawings/sketches to determine weld size, weld location and weld process
* Inspects own work to ensure compliance to drawings and weld procedures and makes necessary repairs
* Assist with incoming parts inspection and final product inspection and complete appropriate documentation
* Operate Fork trucks, jib cranes and overhead crane
* Complete ASME code weld log documentation daily
* Comply with company policies
* Material handling/movement
* Welding
* Assist in other areas of the plan as assigned
Specific qualifications for this technology welding role include:
* A High School diploma or Trade School certification is required
* Capability to obtain ASME section 9 in GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW certification while Employed
* 2 years of experience welding on pressure vessels and FCAW welding process is required
* CCC procedures certification
