MISSION:
To repair castings to meet customer specifications by replacing metal in defective areas using various welding techniques.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Welding.
Objective: to weld castings to customer and PCC specifications.
Typical Activities:
A. Reviews inspection/rework analyst paperwork and tech cards.
B. Identifies and inspects prepared areas needing repair.
C. Welds areas on castings using one or more techniques: Gas Metal Arc Welder (GMAW), Gas Tungstun Arc Welder (GTAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welder (SMAW) and Plasma Arc Welder (PAW).
D. Welds in compliance with Process Control Procedures and external quality control standards including aerospace standards.
E. Welds repairs by placing castings on benches, fixtures or in bubble cabinets; uses mirrors to complete welds in difficult areas of castings as needed; wears necessary safety equipment.
F. Inspects front and back of completed welds to assure proper technique and adequate metal deposit.
2. Equipment Maintenance.
Objective: to maintain welding equipment in good working order.
Typical Activities:
A. Repairs torch heads, replaces power cables and performs minor maintenance on welding tools.
3. Safety.
Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.
Typical Activities:
A. Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
B. Safely operates all equipment and tools.
C. Identifies and reports safety problems.
4. Completes logs and records.
5. Performs other tasks as directed.
TRAINING:
1. Training is provided on the job.
2. Welding Tech Series courses as directed.
3. Alloy Certification and/or Titanium Certification (TBO) as directed.
4. GMAW, GTAW, SMAW AND PAW Welding Certification as directed.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Advanced welding skills as demonstrated by completion of the PCC approved Welding Tech Series and Welding Certification in two applicable alloys or titanium at time of hire,
AND
Two years of applicable welding experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience, and completion of Certification to PCC Weld Test Standards.
2. 20/30 correctable vision in both eyes, and satisfactory passage of depth perception and color vision tests.
3. Good eye/hand coordination.
4. Ability to read and follow specifications on Tech Cards.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds and occasionally up to eighty pounds.
7. Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, awkward physical positions and other elements for extended periods of time.
MAJOR PLANT DIFFERENCES:
1. SSBO - uses GTAW welding only.
2. LSBO - customer specifications require use of WEBTAQ welding technique for GTAW welding.
3. TBO - uses GTAW welding only and requires Titanium Certification only.

Gaylord Industries; a division of ITW is seeking a seasoned Sheet Metal Fabricator to add to their team in Tualatin, OR. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm *Overtime on Fridays* Skills/Ability: * Skills to perform high quality Tig welding, grinding and finishing skills. This will include: fillet welding with uniform width and depth, and grinding and striping no wider than 3/8" with all burn marks blended out and no marks showing.
* Skills to fuse weld a 90 degree joint, keeping weld surface flat, width even, with exterior edge sharp and no rollover.
* Working knowledge of the following tools: drill motors, cutoff saws, Grinders, drill press, Tapping tools, belt sanders and various hand tools.
* Proficiently read and use a tape measure.
* Read and understand English in order to read/interpret prints, diagrams and drawings.
* Proficient math skills.
* Must be a team player, including good interpersonal skills
Experience:
* 1+ years Tig welding experience
* 1+ years grinding/polishing experience
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
* Tig fillet weld and finish stainless steel equipment and components with uniform width and depth.
* Ensure high quality standards are achieved and maintained.
* Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding assignments.
* Follow all safety and housekeeping rules.
* Actively participate in Safety Program
* Cross train into other areas and job functions as needed.
* Willing to assist in other areas as needed.
* Welding is 20% of the assembly process.
* Installation of screws/nuts/bolts/rivets/silicone and more.
Education:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
* Successful completion of an internal welding demonstration test
Physical Requirements:
* The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects of 75 lbs or more.
* The ability to endure prolonged physical activity to work in demanding environments.
* The ability to bend, squat, reach, and turn in various directions.
* The ability to manipulate objects with precision and speed.
* Vision, hearing, and other sensory abilities are needed for specific tasks.
* The ability to safely climb and work from ladders, work on scaffolding, or perform other tasks at elevated heights.
Compensation Information:
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 hourly DOE

We are currently seeking a Saw Operator to join our 2nd shift team in Clackamas, OR. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who is comfortable working with metal, measuring accurately with a tape measure, and operating industrial equipment.
Location: Clackamas, OR
Pay: $22 - $26/hr DOE + $1 shift differential
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, overtime available.
Summary Description: The Saw Operator provides saw cutting services to fabrication and machining cells by cutting various types of metal to specified lengths using manufacturing process sheet data. This role is also responsible for receiving, inspecting, handling, and storing metal stock using overhead cranes and forklifts, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy, organization, and cleanliness of the work area.
Saw Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive, sign for, and off-load metal stock from suppliers using an overhead crane
Inspect materials in accordance with Quality Control procedures
Store accepted stock in designated locations using overhead crane and forklift
Cut material according to dimensional data on shop work orders
Transfer cut raw material to designated areas within the machine shop
Deburr materials as required
Accurately measure using tape measures and other measuring tools
Perform general saw maintenance, including cleaning, monitoring hydraulic oil, and changing/disposing of saw blades and coolant
Order and manage saw blades and related inventory
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Operate various machinery, cutting tools, and equipment safely
Follow all safety policies and immediately report unsafe conditions or injuries to a supervisor
Saw Operator Requirements:
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
Mechanical aptitude and experience working with metal materials
Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
Experience operating industrial machinery and cutting equipment preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles and occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is typically loud, and hearing protection is required.

MISSION:
To repair castings to meet customer specifications by replacing metal in defective areas using various welding techniques.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Welding.
Objective: to weld castings to customer and PCC specifications.
Typical Activities:
A. Reviews inspection/rework analyst paperwork and tech cards.
B. Identifies and inspects prepared areas needing repair.
C. Welds areas on castings using one or more techniques: Gas Metal Arc Welder (GMAW), Gas Tungstun Arc Welder (GTAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welder (SMAW) and Plasma Arc Welder (PAW).
D. Welds in compliance with Process Control Procedures and external quality control standards including aerospace standards.
E. Welds repairs by placing castings on benches, fixtures or in bubble cabinets; uses mirrors to complete welds in difficult areas of castings as needed; wears necessary safety equipment.
F. Inspects front and back of completed welds to assure proper technique and adequate metal deposit.
2. Equipment Maintenance.
Objective: to maintain welding equipment in good working order.
Typical Activities:
A. Repairs torch heads, replaces power cables and performs minor maintenance on welding tools.
3. Safety.
Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.
Typical Activities:
A. Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
B. Safely operates all equipment and tools.
C. Identifies and reports safety problems.
4. Completes logs and records.
5. Performs other tasks as directed.
TRAINING:
1. Training is provided on the job.
2. Welding Tech Series courses as directed.
3. Alloy Certification and/or Titanium Certification (TBO) as directed.
4. GMAW, GTAW, SMAW AND PAW Welding Certification as directed.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Advanced welding skills as demonstrated by completion of the PCC approved Welding Tech Series and Welding Certification in two applicable alloys or titanium at time of hire,
AND
Two years of applicable welding experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience, and completion of Certification to PCC Weld Test Standards.
2. 20/30 correctable vision in both eyes, and satisfactory passage of depth perception and color vision tests.
3. Good eye/hand coordination.
4. Ability to read and follow specifications on Tech Cards.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds and occasionally up to eighty pounds.
7. Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, awkward physical positions and other elements for extended periods of time.
MAJOR PLANT DIFFERENCES:
1. SSBO - uses GTAW welding only.
2. LSBO - customer specifications require use of WEBTAQ welding technique for GTAW welding.
3. TBO - uses GTAW welding only and requires Titanium Certification only.
