What part will you play? The Lead Fabrication Technician (Level 4) is the senior-most technician and operational leader of Diversified's Advanced Technology Center (ATC) fabrication floor. This position serves as the primary point of coordination for all fabrication activities, overseeing daily workload distribution, assigning projects to fabrication technicians, and ensuring every system produced meets Diversified's uncompromising standards for precision, craftsmanship, and reliability. As the direct operational partner to the Senior Manager, Fabrication Services, the Fabrication Lead manages daily production flow, verifies documentation, maintains tool and equipment readiness, and collaborates closely with the Operations, Logistics & Compliance team on materials, supplies, and commissioning support. The Fabrication Lead is also responsible for reviewing and approving technician timecards and ensuring adherence to operational procedures. A critical responsibility of this position is ensuring that every project completed by the fabrication team is fully inspected by the Quality Assurance team before release. This role involves precise cutting, bending, and welding of materials such as PVC, Polypropylene, PVDF, and Teflon to create components for various types of equipment. This position is based on-site at our well-equipped facility. Requirements: A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a solid background in welding PVC, polypropylene, and Teflon. Proficiency in hot air welding techniques. Silver brazing jobs included. · Compare kit with BOM, 3 view, isometric, or other prints details, report discrepancies to Production Control · Check all part dimensions compared to print before welding · Assure best condition of machine, tooling and fixture. Maintain minor repairs and cleaning by the operator, report damages defects and wear to supervisor and maintenance dept. · Weld parts to print and required standards · Check all welds if possible by sight pipe for penetration, discoloration, contaminants, uniformity, straightness, size, neatness to customer specifications and to insure quality · Make appropriate time and data entry for all work completion on routing sheet and bar code system. · Measure completed jobs to meet print specs by using appropriate tools · Good knowledge of blue print reading · Adhere to welding codes · Maintain safe and clean workplace · Keep area free from contamination · May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Advanced Welder Job Description As an Advanced Welder, you will need to be able to read and understand shop drawings, plan fabrication and fabricate welded components per the shop drawing. The shop is equipped with a wide range of tools, drills, cold saws, bandsaws, grinders, tapping arms, laser, press brake, overhead crane, forklift, etc. We are looking for a fabricator with the following skills: Advanced MIG(75%) & TIG (25%) Expert at interpreting shop drawings to make parts and develop a work plan/sequence. Perform accurate layout of plates, holes, bends, etc. Skilled in the use of layout tools like scribes, squares, tapes, protractors, levels, etc. A Fabricator needs to be able to meet Hesters welding standards, and must know how to set up the machine, diagnose problems, and make high quality welds.
