Prep is responsible for blade preparation before final assembly. The Prep Operator will complete mid and final prep operations using a series of different abrasive wheels, sanding belts, polishing compounds and fixtures to produce the desired blade finish for further processing or final assembly. This position at Sytech will be responsible for the manual removal of machining burrs from turret punched sheets using industry standard deburr and grind techniques. It is also responsible to grain parts per customers finishing requirements. This requires the individual to hand sand, grind, file, deburr, buff and smooth surface metal parts using hand tools or powered equipment requiring care to maintain contour, edges and dimensions.
