Job Summary
Primarily stainless-steel fabrication, straightening, and welding using gas and electric welding equipment. Fabrication of carbon-steel and exotic metals is anticipated. Work is performed in accordance with a Nuclear Quality Assurance program.
Primary Job Responsibilities
* Welding Stainless Steel using TIG, Laser Welding, and MIG technologies.
* Intricate grinding and polishing of welds and Stainless Steel base metal to 32RA surface finish.
* Fabrication by cutting, burning, straightening, and welding various metals.
* Repair equipment by mechanical straightening and welding.
* Identify and mitigate shrinkage and distortion associated with welding.
* Plan and execute work based on technical documentation, drawings, procedures, and information contained within work orders.
* Read, understand, and execute work to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and other pertinent welding documents.
* Use calibrated precision measuring instruments, including a Faro Arm, to ensure fabrication tolerances are met.
* Understand, organize, and perform record keeping tasks such as weld mapping on complex weldments to maintain traceability of materials.
* Assist in the development and training of fabrication personnel on safe practices, advanced fabrication techniques, and the responsibilities identified above.
* Design and build fabrication fixtures.
* Prepare and/or assist with technical proposals and job estimates
* Adhere to design specifications and related welding procedure specifications.
* Participate in design reviews
* Identify and initiate product/process improvements

Requirements
* Demonstrated proficiency with TIG Welding (GTAW)
* Minimum of five (5) years welding experience required or demonstrated equivalent experience through passing certification tests
* May substitute two (2) years' experience for Associate of Arts degree in Welding Technology
* May substitute one (1) year experience for accredited trade or vocational welding certificate
* Minimum requirements shall be in conformance:

Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery and equipment, and vibration. Job duties may require work in high, precarious places, work in outside weather conditions, and exposure to extreme temperatures in some cases. A Sheet Metal Fabricator plays an important role in our company. They fabricate and assemble sheet metal using machines and hand tools to product high quality HVAC ductwork.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Operate machines to cut, shape, and form sheet metal including roller, rotodie, shear, punch press, hand brake, weighting machine, plasma cutters, and more.
• Drill and punch holes in metal, for electrical components, screws, bolts, or rivets.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Welder Fabricator saws, cuts, welds and fabricates parts to blueprint specifications utilizing saws, buffers, torches, MIG (mixed inner gas) and Stick welding equipment. Additional skills include; buffing material to AMSI specifications utilizing portable equipment.

There are 3 levels in the Welder Fabricator classification with each advancement being inclusive of the prior in the sequence. Preceding advancement to the next level, team members are required to actively participate in the safety process, have a clean work record clear of any disciplinary actions for 12 months, and have a promotion recommendation by their respective lead and supervisor.

Applies proper materials/inventory procedures; requests parts, returns incorrect parts, and handles floor stock issues
Demonstrates above-average knowledge of all weldments, welding operations, sawing and buffing operations, and move easily through different product lines

Demonstrate proficiency and ability to explain Visual MRP (find blueprints, part status, part location, and man-hour reporting)

Primarily stainless-steel fabrication, straightening, and welding using gas and electric welding equipment. Fabrication of carbon-steel and exotic metals is anticipated. Work is performed in accordance with a Nuclear Quality Assurance program.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Welding Stainless Steel using TIG, Laser Welding, and MIG technologies.
Intricate grinding and polishing of welds and Stainless Steel base metal to 32RA surface finish.
Fabrication by cutting, burning, straightening, and welding various metals.
Repair equipment by mechanical straightening and welding.
Identify and mitigate shrinkage and distortion associated with welding.
Plan and execute work based on technical documentation, drawings, procedures, and information contained within work orders.
Read, understand, and execute work to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and other pertinent welding documents.
Use calibrated precision measuring instruments, including a Faro Arm, to ensure fabrication tolerances are met.
Understand, organize, and perform record keeping tasks such as weld mapping on complex weldments to maintain traceability of materials.
Assist in the development and training of fabrication personnel on safe practices, advanced fabrication techniques, and the responsibilities identified above.
Design and build fabrication fixtures.
Prepare and/or assist with technical proposals and job estimates
Adhere to design specifications and related welding procedure specifications.
Participate in design reviews
Identify and initiate product/process improvements
Document work processes
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
Abide by company policies
In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
Complete quality verifications, weld records, and other build records as required

Working Environment

We are looking for skilled Welders and/or Fitters (knowledge of both is a plus) to cut and join metals and other materials at our Spokane, WA facility. Essential Job Functions 1. Perform FCAW (2G) welding. Be able to pass 2G test in FCAW on 1" thick coupon.
2. Operate air arc to remove steel (back gouging).
3. Grind with 90° angle grinder.
5. Read weld symbols and check weld size using weld fillet gauges.
6. Heat material to required temperature using temperature sticks and heating torch/cutting torch.
(read and follow pre-heart & interpass temperature tables.)
7. Set machines according to procedure charts.
8. Use air chipper to chip of slag.
9. Use natural gas propane heaters to pre-heat steel.
10. Operate stud welder.
11. Follow weld procedures as it applies to volts, amps & wire feed speed.
12. Heat, straighten and be able to know when to use pre-heat to offset distortion.
14. Perform other duties as required by management.

Job Summary
Assist with various types of welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment under the instruction of production personnel. Support the activities of the welding team. The welder helper will ensure an organized work environment, and adequate maintenance of equipment and materials. Will guarantee welders have tools and materials, such as filler metal and grinding discs available, and operate welding machines, grinders, hammers, beveling machines, torches and magnetic drills. You will be familiar with various metals such as carbon and stainless steel.
To ensure success you will pay attention to minute details, which will save costs associated with errors and consequent reworks.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Employing sanders and grinders to grind and polish welds and base metal to 32 Ra
Assist with fabrication of equipment by cutting, burning, drilling, and grinding
Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded
Maintain cleanliness of work areas
Assisting welders to set up work areas with tools and fixtures
Move rigs/fixtures between work areas
Ensuring welders have required materials and tools available, such as rods and grinding discs
Maintaining levels of materials and supplies
Loading and unloading machines and fixtures
Maintaining knowledge of various types of metal
Operating various tools and types of equipment
Identifying safety risks and hazards, and complying with relevant safety procedures and regulations
Transport parts using forklifts/carts to and from the weld work areas.
Abide by company policies
In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of one (1) year working in a welding environment preferred. Accredited trade or vocational school welding certificate is preferred
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery and equipment, and vibration. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. While performing some job duties, there is a risk of electrical shock and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Job duties may require work in high, precarious places, work in outside weather conditions, and exposure to extreme temperatures in some cases. The noise level in the working environment is often loud. Because of this environment and associated risks, use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required.

Welder
Fabricator job in Mead, WA
Aerotek is hiring welders for a steel shop in Spokane. **Job Duties:** Will be performing Flux Core Dual Shield welding on structural steel. Will be running a high volume of fillet welds on steel I-beams, columns, and other structural parts. Will also be working from blueprints. Some materials handling may be required. This is a shop/production welding job - no welding on job sites.
**Requirements:** Previous Flux Core or Hardwire welding experience is required. 3+ years - this can be a combination on-the-job experience and from a welding school/trade school. Must be able to read prints, fit, and fabricate. FCAW WABO or AWS certification is preferred.
**Details:** Day shift. Overtime will often be available. Pay starts at $22 - $32+/hr, depending on experience and results of a weld test. Room for growth in pay based on performance.Benefits including medical insurance and 401k are also available.
