Swing Shift (Typically 2:30pm to 11:00pm)
WELD TEST WILL BE REQUIRED, BRING YOUR WELDING HOOD @ INTERVIEW
Purpose of Position: To weld components by prescribed methods required or as called out on customer's blueprints and specifications. Meeting quality requirements set forth by AWS D1.1 or greater. Provide instruction for the development of welder trainees.
Major Duties:
1. Review blue prints and job specifications with supervisor. Learn to set-up welder current, amperage, and gas flows to the prescribed settings for material being welded.
2. Develop skills required to set up parts that are tacked or fixtured for welding.
3. Weld components together meeting AWS D1.1 standards or greater.
4. Check dimensions and tolerances after welding and cooling. Use industries standard methods to straighten, ream, and debur as required.
5. Provide technical direction and support to welder trainees.
6. Participate in insuring a safe work environment through best practices including promoting of all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, maintenance of a 5S work station.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be reliable, on time and ready to work daily.
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and welding, engineering and material specifications.
Must be proficient in MIG, FCAW and tack welding, and standard metal working tools.
Must have solid math, dimensional and reading skills, and also be able to use a tape measure.
**Minimum 2years experience.
Pay Range: $20.60 - $31.30 DOE, plus $1.25 swing shift differential
Bonus: Up to 60 cents an hour paid quarterly for branch safety practices
