Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform production line assembly and welding of mufflers and exhaust systems. Responsible for quality craftsmanship and fabrication of exhaust components. Perform visual product quality audit, manipulate product for visual check, ensures accurate selection of product by verifying parts received against a PTF. Demonstrate job knowledge regarding location and identification of parts and numbering system. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop and its equipment and tools. Performing other department duties as instructed by the department supervisor. Qualifications Experience, Skills and Education: Minimum 1 year experience in exhaust fabrication, MIG welding and assembly. Must be trained in MIG welding process. Understand fixture assembly and process for welding. Basic understanding of MIG welding machine set-up and adjustments. Must be able to read a computer screen and have basic computer skills. Must be able to follow verbal / written instructions correctly. Additional Qualities Necessary: Must be punctual and dependable at adhering to scheduled work hours. The Gill Corporation is seeking a Fabrication Assembler with experience in production assembly, high attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency. Key qualities to be successful in this role are to be a team player, willingness for hands-on learning. This position assists the department supervisor in various day-to-day work activities within the fabrication department and will complete rework activities per the direction of the Operations Engineering. Reporting to the Production Supervisor they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities. Responsibilities: Primary duties include finishing detailed panel assembly and liners. Uses specifications, blueprints, mylar and work orders. Deburrs and cleans insert drill holes prior to insert installation. Applies adhesive to plugs/ sleeves and panel prior to plug/ sleeve installation. Prepares panel assemblies for edge fill operation. Mixes and applies adhesive to the undercut/edge of panels. Hand routes with pneumatic hand router all detailed liners using the specified tool required. Records all material and logs information on work orders and in SAP software. Other essential duties may be assigned. Shift Requirement and Compensation for this role: 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:30pm Training will be conducted on 1st Shift 5:30am - 2:00pm Compensation: Base Rate starting at $22.15 an hour.
