What You Need
* 1+ year of FCAW welding experience
* Experience with 3-5 pass welds on heavy plate
* Familiarity with back gouging, carbon arcing, or air arcing
* Strong safety-first mindset
* Willingness to work overtime as needed

A Day in the Life:
Cosmetic welding on 16 - 20 gauge stainless steel
TIG welding sheet metal and/or components in flat, vertical and overhead positions, occasional MIG welding
Interpreting blueprints and follow work instructions and weld symbols related to the weld and metal finish process
Handle and position work with fixtures and regulate heat, and filler rod as required by AWS standards.
Comply with all policies/procedures, quality standards, and safety and regulatory requirements.
Process quality checks as required
Most work is independent, with collaboration with your team as necessary

This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Work from different specifications, blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols, and (ii) Lay out materials and components which are then welded into position by welders or robots.
Welder and Fabricator Overview:
Work from different specifications, blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
Lay out materials and components which are then welded into position by welders or robots
Weld and assemble different pieces by using hand held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing)
Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next department
Prepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal
Load and operate robotic welders; troubleshoot basic programming issues and promptly inform Supervisor of any issues
Utilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurements
Operate cranes, hoists, lift tables, and lift trucks
Report damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Report all unsafe conditions to management
Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Assist and work in related areas in the manufacturing of products our business produces
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

Welder and Fabricator Qualifications
No minimum education required
2+ years of relevant work experience
Prior experience with solid core wires and argon/oxygen welding gasses
Prior experience MIG welding of structural steel and plate
and scope of duties
Intermediate knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma machines and cutting torches using cutting steel, acetylene and other cutting methods
Knowledge of and ability to work multiple working stations (tackout, weld out, deck assembly, frame weld, EOD, truck restraints)
Attention to detail
Ability to work within an ERP system
Ability to use an ERP system
The pay range for this position is ($
19.90-
$30.37); base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
