The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all necessary maintenance, safety, and security policies relating to the operation and management of the White Marsh Idea Labs. These activities will include service and maintenance of the facility and ensure efficient operation of all building systems. This position is responsible for developing and managing all internal GMP and EHSS protocols that are in place. The position will be responsible for coordinating maintenance and repair services as well as supervising contractors with a focus on safety.
Core Responsibilities:
Supervise and serve as primary contact for all maintenance issues for White Marsh Idea Labs.Serve as leader to ensure facility, utilize service, and ground issues are addressed.Maintain and advise on annual budget for all maintenance activities.Manage all special project for assigned building including remodeling and design.Manage facilities procurement requests and work with Procurement teams to established vendors.Manage site assets in accordance with company accounting requirements.Manages all facilities equipment including, but not limited to: HVAC, Security, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems within infrastructure and on the grounds of the facility.Coordinates building preventive systems maintenance (i.e. Lighting, Roof, Fire Sprinklers/Alarms Explosion Suppression) and maintains stock records with storeroom plan.Manage and implement facilitates building emergency procedures (i.e. Building Evacuation, Fire Alarm Procedures, Emergency Controls and Operations, Generator Operations and Repairs) Manage and Lead Food Safety policies to be in line with GFSIManage and create strategy for White Marsh Idea Labs Pilot Plant.Manage security operations for facility including entry and camera systems.Responsible for meeting or exceeding Safety, Quality, Reliability, Delivery, Organization Capability, Sustainability and Cost targets for plant.Responsible for developing and presenting strategy to corporate leaders on future of White Marsh Idea Labs.

Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor's Degree, preferred, with 10+ years of relevant site operations experience (Maintenance, Warehouse, Facilities) preferably in an Food/Pharma Manufacturing environment.Experience with building support function including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Energy Management, Emergency, Fire, Security, Safety, and Food Safety/Sanitation requirements.Preferred experience in helping to facilitate large capital projects related to facilities improvements and renovations. Requires exceptional interpersonal skills to build credibility with internal customers and contractors.Capability to manage adherence to business processes and develop new processes to deliver continuous improvement.Familiar with good practices related to outside contractor bidding.Prior supervisory experience preferred and demonstrated owner's mindset as it relates to leadership skills.Must have prior experience with SAP for maintenance management (or similar ERP) Experience and Certification with Food Safety Focus (GFSI, HACCP, SQF, ISO)

We are seeking a Facility Operations Manager for our federal team based at the Pentagon (military experience not required). We’ve supported the Pentagon for nearly two decades now in support of their energy efficiency and sustainability needs. Reporting in to the Regional Manager, this role will have full responsibility over the operations teams based at the Pentagon.

As a Facility Operations Manager , you will:


Manages the overall execution and performance of assigned Installation and Service delivery teams Responsible for financial management (P&L) of assigned teams supporting Pentagon operations which includes revenue forecasting, billings, collections and resource planning. Ensures that portfolio of projects assigned to reporting PM’s comes in at or below estimated cost Assigns projects and ensures appropriate engineering, commissioning, quality control, and safety resources are assigned to those projects. Oversees and directs estimating and scheduling of project installation, as well as proposals, change orders, and change proposals Establishes goals and development plans for all direct reports. Evaluates employee performance and performs salary management. Assists with recruiting Project Managers, Engineers, and other team members with the appropriate skills and competencies to meet the needs of the Pentagon Ensures work performed is in compliance with state, local, federal, and legal requirements and operates with the highest of ethics. Ensures staff adheres to all safety standards to include EM 385-1-1 and our site specific accident prevention plans Develops and builds contractor, customer, consultant, subcontractor, and assigned team relationships Follows up on customer satisfaction issues and drives resolution. Provides leadership by demonstrating focus on achieving customer satisfaction (internal/external) Coaches teams on the management of project risks, conflict resolution, and establishment project recovery plans. Assists Regional Manager in preparation of annual strategic and financial operating plan. Assists Management, Sales, or Project Managers in the review and interpretation of contract terms and conditions. Assists project development team with operational metrics, cost structure, and local resources/contractors necessary to expand the Federal portfolio on-site
Required Qualifications:


10+ years of operations management experience in the Building Construction Industry including seven or more years of direct project management experience. Experience supporting military or other federal government sites strongly preferred. 3+ years experience with the direct supervision of Project Managers. Demonstrated proficiency effectively managing a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate technical information to non-technical teams The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances required. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
Preferred Qualifications:


Experience leading or managing operations teams at U.S. federal government sites. Experience working with U.S. government contracts and federal procurement standards Experience leading/supporting projects related to commercial or industrial HVAC mechanical systems (chiller, boilers, etc) and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Preferred Education:


Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

This position is responsible for performing basic repair and maintenance, as well as construction and life-safety equipment inspection, with repairs as needed. This position also alters and inspects the building and mechanical facilities in order to support their continuous operation
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
:


Inspects utilities and equipment to ensure their proper operation and the safety of the property, our guests and team members. Performs preventative maintenance, such as trouble shooting utilities and equipment, in order to prevent malfunction to equipment on property. Repairs building, utilities and equipment promptly to ensure their proper operation according to department standards. Renovates, constructs or restores property's exterior and interior when necessary to maintain the structure's quality, as well as to ensure safety to guests and team members. Orders parts in order to maintain proper inventory. Assists in training Facilities Mechanic I's and newly hired Facilities Mechanic II's to teach job incumbents proper information to perform job duties. Assists Facilities Mechanic III with skilled repairs on such utilities and equipment as emergency generators and refrigeration units when assigned.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Competent performance of Facilities Mechanic I's duties or 1 to 2 years' experience with mechanical repair
