This position is responsible for day-to-day supervision of Facilities Engineering technicians and the timely execution of Facilities Engineering services and processes that support the core business at TMC, TCVS Elkton facilities. Coordination and scheduling of day-to-day facilities activities to ensure department projects achieve cost efficiency, quality, and schedule requirements. Coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance programs to achieve daily manufacturing goals. Oversees allocation of internal and external resources to complete critical maintenance tasks during plant shutdowns. Operates facilities in accordance and compliance with the state and federal regulations.
Job Details:
1. Associate is responsible to follow TMC Quality system requirements, including but not limited to, providing guidance and training of associates in Quality system regulations, and understanding of all Quality system processes.
2. Deliver preventative maintenance techniques and equipment repair processes to meet customer service expectations.
3. Manage and develop less experienced team members. Establish priority for work assignments and oversee daily schedules of personnel. Resolve work issues and conflicts and communicate information to Facilities Engineering personnel.
4. Co-develop KPI's and SLA's with senior Facilities leadership, driving realistic task/project completion to appropriately support the needs of the operation. Manage Maximo work orders to due dates and assign new service requests to provide timely and effective response to internal customers.
5. Conduct routine performance management sessions including coaching and feedback to facilities technicians to improve performance.
6. Keep the Facilities Engineering Manager informed of important equipment repairs that present risk or delays that may impact Manufacturing.
7. Ensure all Environmental Health and Safety processes are followed for Facilities Engineering. Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, federal and related international regulations applicable to facility related requirements. Ensure compliance with OSHA and all pertinent environmental protection laws. Comply with pertinent building construction and life safety codes.
8. Participate in project team meetings, on behalf of the job unit providing ideas, methods, or processes for unit/company performance improvement.
9. Oversee training assignments to maintain Facilities Engineering technician qualifications in Quality System.
10. Perform other facilities-related activities at the request of Director of Global Facilities.
11. Perform other job-related duties assigned by the Facilities Engineering Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to supervise facility engineering functions at multiple locations. Ability to interface with multiple levels of Management and Staff. Demonstrated knowledge of the basic design and engineering of mechanical systems (i.e. HVAC, electrical, building construction, fire protection, AGV and ASRS, etc.), in a technologically advanced setting. Project management experience with demonstrated results.Budget and Supervisory experience.
Background ExperienceTypically requires 10+ years of building and Facilities Engineering maintenance experience, preferably within a regulated environment, with at least 2 years of prior people management/development experience. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance to include OSHA & EPA requirements and ISO standards.

Position Purpose: Multi-Crafted Engineer who executes mechanical, electrical, and process-related solutions, focusing on continually improving manufacturing process and efficiency. Guides, plans, and executes engineering projects that improve safety, quality, and site processes, and steers technical and operational projects that involve a broad range of equipment, materials, and complexity. Go-to person to provide technical leadership for the site.

Principle Accountabilities
• Guides hands-on problem solving, repairing, and continuous improvement for manufacturing and support operations.
• Lead environmental compliance obligations within ISO 14001 certification and a variety of subjects, including
Air Emissions, EPCRA, Stormwater, Wastewater, DOT, and Solid & Hazardous Waste. Prepare and submit reports in timely manner.
• Lead cross functional teams to drive sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the site.
• Performs inspections through on-site or remote reviews against regulatory and insurance requirements. Assist with root cause, corrective action development, and tracking of items to closure. Updates Legal Obligations and Compliance registers.
• Provide support to maintenance department through management of contracts and work order system.
• Coordinate and deliver regularly required EH&S training with Safety and HR Managers. Support safety team and sub-teams.
• Initiates and carries out cost savings and lean manufacturing initiatives across the site. Shares best practices with the entire Operations team.
• Assists in equipment specification, selection, installation, and start-up process establishment.
• Influences future state plant capabilities and capacity through expansion, automation, process improvement, and standard operating procedures. Provide support to site capital improvement projects through budgeting, approval, and execution process.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field required. Mechanical or ElectroMechanical Preferred.
• 5 years minimum of engineering/Maintenance combined experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred
• 2-3 years, Maintenance Supervision/Facility Manager experience preferred.
• Demonstrated Knowledge of equipment selection, troubleshooting, and installation.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and execute capital investment projects.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCad or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of plastic extrusion, packaging, co-packing, and/or blown or cast film manufacturing highly preferred.
