Job Description

The Manufacturing Operations Manager reports directly to the VP of Procurement & Manufacturing and is responsible for company operated manufacturing facilities, leading strategic execution and coordinating resources to create excellent products. The Manufacturing Operations Manager oversees Plant/Manufacturing Managers ensuring that safety is a priority and protocols are enforced, deadlines are met, standards are upheld, and operations are profitable.

Responsibilities include

+ Supervise and direct Plant/Manufacturing Managers providing guidance on operations for safety, production, maintenance, quality, and shipping.

+ Establish the strategic direction of the company's manufacturing units, setting the plan for products, processes, and plant relationships with the goal of increasing efficiency and profitability.

+ Set key indicators for evaluating performance and meet regularly with Plant/Manufacturing Managers to monitor progress.

Precast manufacturing experience strongly desired

Thorough understanding of systems and processes with ability and experience combining critical thinking with industry expertise to optimize production.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel ability.

Manager, GMP Cell Therapy Manufacturing

Precigen is advancing an exciting pipeline of novel cell therapy products designed on our proprietay UltraCAR-T platform. We are seeking a Manager of GMP Cell Therapy Manufacturing who will conduct and supervise rapid GMP production of UltraCAR-T clinical candidates. The Manager will work closely with other members of the CMC, Quality, and Facility teams to successfully plan and execute manufacturing campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the production of cell-based therapies in a GMP manufacturing environment. Knowledge and hands-on experience with CAR-T production methodologies is a definite plus. Because of the very rapid nature of Precigen's CAR-T manufacturing process, the candidate will be manufacturing autologous cellular therapies in a focused, time-sensitive manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Schedule, procure material, and execute UltraCAR-T GMP production campaigns.
* Train and supervise GMP production personnel.
* Maintain production clean room facility and equipment per GMP requirements and company SOPS.
* Maintain GMP production SOP document system, including production records, equipment records, material specifications, employee training records and facility cleaning records.
* Work closely with Precigen's Quality Control and Quality Assurance groups to ensure successful and on-time production, testing and release of UltraCAR-T clinical lots, meeting quality standards.
* Analyze, compile and present production batch data to CMC management.
* Participate in process troubleshooting and implementing process improvements.
* Initiate and participate in quality investigations, as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* B.S. or M.S. Biology or related field.
* 5 to 7 years experience working in a GMP manufacturing clean room.
* Proven experience in aseptic cell processing and manipulation.
* Minimum of 2 years experience with GMP manufacture of cellular therapies
* Minimum of 2 years of managerial and supervisory experience.
* Experience in GMP CAR-T production is a definite plus.
