Adjunct Faculty Liberal Arts Department The Cleveland Institute of Art seeks qualified applicants for Adjunct Faculty positions in Liberal Arts teach electives in art history, media studies, the study of visual culture, and related areas. We welcome applicants with interests in teaching established courses from our catalog as well as those who are interested in developing new "special topics" electives for students of art and design.
Minimum qualifications include a master's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. Adjunct faculty are not eligible for benefits. Adjunct faculty are limited to a maximum of four teaching assignments per academic year. In-person teaching is required for this course.

Instructors provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in the class. Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications: A Master's degree in Chemistry from a regionally accredited institution or Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry. Teaching and industry experience preferred.

Assists with course development and tutoring students in MET courses as needed. Performs student learning outcome assessment to make continuous improvement in learning outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
* Knowledge of and/or experience in basic mechanical analyses, machine design theories, and lab instruction
* Proficiency in solid modeling software
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
* Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
* Appropriately responds to the needs of the community
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
* Some industrial experience
* Knowledge of electronics and instrumentation
* Teaching experience
