Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW's Faculty Code Section 24-34. Anticipated start date is Summer 2026. In addition to clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure. The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professor range: $13,641 - $20,461 per month ($163,692- $245,532 annually), Associate Professor range: $16,487 - $24,730 per month ($197,844 - $296,760 annually), Professor range: $19,820 - $29,729 per month ($237,840 - $356,748 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Minimum Qualifications * Possess a minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; * Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent Board-certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN Ultrasound; * Two (2) years of recent clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound; * Have experience teaching and/or precepting DMS students; * Ability to connect and build relationships with students and colleagues from various ethnicities, ages, backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities; * Computer competency to include Microsoft Office Suites applications; * The gross and fine motor skills required to assist students and providing safe effective diagnostic ultrasound; * The physical endurance and ability to work in a clinical setting with students for 4-6 hours; * The physical endurance and strength sufficient to assist students with providing diagnostic ultrasound; and * Currently hold an unencumbered DMS (RDMS) license in WA state. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. The College is currently in hybrid operations, with many assignments completed in an online environment during this time. Full-time faculty are expected to maintain a physical presence on-campus that matches the expectations described in the current collective bargaining agreement. Employees will need to provide their own remote workspace and internet access, noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. During on-campus operations, this position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus and requires the ability to communicate in person or through appropriate means.
