Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit The mission of the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (ISSCM) is to provide high-quality programs in information systems and supply chain management. The ISSCM Department comprises 20 faculty in the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management/Operations areas. As of Spring 2025, the Department served 440 undergraduate students and 152 graduate students, most of them in the MS in Information Technology & Management (MSITM) program or its stackable certificates in cybersecurity, business analytics, or supply chain management. The ISSCM Department has a Ph.D. program in Information Systems. Both the BS in ISSCM and the MSITM programs are offered online and in person. All ISSCM offerings are well aligned with SAP, Comp TiA, and AWS, offering a pathway for the students to independently gain industry certifications. The department has active teaching and research relationships with several organizations with a presence in the region, including Cone Health, Volvo Trucks North America, VF Corporation as well as multiple regional logistics and transportation organizations located in the area.
