The ideal candidate will serve as a core faculty member in both the outpatient continuity clinic and the inpatient newborn nursery, contributing to the comprehensive education of Family Medicine residents and medical students. This role combines direct clinical teaching, scholarly engagement, and meaningful participation in residency program governance and development. The candidate is expected to maintain their own continuity patient panel and provide ongoing supervision in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. They will deliver didactic teaching during resident half-day education sessions and participate in structured academic activities that support resident development and program excellence.
Core responsibilities include:
Outpatient continuity clinic and urgent care teaching with residents and medical students, Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 17:00
Maintaining a personal panel of continuity patients
Supervising inpatient teaching rounds in the newborn nursery on a rotating basis every 4-5 weeks, Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 19:00
Participating in educational didactic half-days on Wednesdays from 13:00 to 17:00
Providing remote faculty supervision of residents for after-hours clinic call
Participating in the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), which assesses resident progression and advancement
Participating in the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC), which oversees curriculum development and program improvement
Completing written and verbal evaluations of residents and medical students
Supervising residents on the mobile health unit
Engaging in scholarly activities, including but not limited to research, case reports, publications, and quality improvement projects in collaboration with residents and/or medical students
The candidate must be eligible for hospital credentialing to provide inpatient newborn care. Inpatient obstetrics coverage is not required. However, if desired, there may be opportunities for occasional coverage of the adult inpatient teaching service. In such cases, the candidate must also qualify for privileges in adult inpatient medicine.
Education and Experienced Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, with successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Family Medicine residency program, and possession of an unrestricted medical license issued by the Medical Board of California
Demonstrated experience in the comprehensive outpatient care of adults, geriatrics, children, and newborns, with recent and meaningful involvement in the teaching of residents and/or medical students
Clinical experience in the inpatient management of both adult and newborn patients.
Current board certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
Eligibility for privileges in full-spectrum outpatient primary care, as well as inpatient privileges in the care of newborns. If interested in adult inpatient care, the candidate must be eligible to obtain hospital privileges for adult inpatient medicine.
Inpatient obstetrics is not required.
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

The department offers ABET accredited BS degrees in Civil Engineering, and Geomatics Engineering, and MS degrees in Civil Engineering and a Survey Engineering minor. Geomatics Engineering Faculty have a wide range of experience covering broad areas of land surveying, remote sensing, photogrammetry, geodesy, and geographic information systems. The Geomatics Engineering Program has a close relationship with industry vendors which have provided and will provide all necessary equipment for the teaching of and success of the students. Faculty research is funded by federal, state and regional agencies and industry. Graduates of the department are in high demand. The department has established strong relationships with a variety of industry partners and receives strong support from the regional industry.

Ballet Technique
Directing the Contemporary Dance Ensemble
Instructor Responsibility: Temporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2. Instructors are responsible for the preparation, delivery, conducting, proctoring, and grading (as appropriate) lectures, office hours, homework assignments, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams. All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester, in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule of classes (i.e. asynchronous, synchronous, in-person, or hybrid).
Conditional Appointment
Please be advised that an appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to order of assignment provisions in the collective bargaining agreement between California State University and California Faculty Association. These provisions state the “Order of Work,” or the order in which available courses must be assigned to faculty, starting with tenure line faculty and ending with new lecturer appointees.
Appointees will be required to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States (Fresno State is not a sponsoring agency for Temporary Faculty positions).
Compensation - Commensurate by qualifications and experience within salary range placement. The salary ranges are established by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = 2358 for Academic Year Lecturers).
The salary range for Temporary Faculty with a Master's degree is $5,507-6,677 per a month when teaching full time (15 WTUs). Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per an academic term.
Anticipated Semester
The Department is seeking a temporary faculty member for a one-semester sabbatical replacement position in Spring 2026. This member position includes teaching Ballet Technique and directing the Contemporary Dance Ensemble. This is a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment dependent on student enrollment and available funding. This role is a specific appointment for Spring 2026.

A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) is seeking a part-time Regional Director of Medical Education to facilitate student rotations in the Visalia, California Community Health Center (CHC). This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education.
Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate small group sessions and medical skills sessions.
Deliver curriculum.
Monitor student progress and perform student evaluations and advisement sessions.
Work with ATSU-SOMA Course Directors.
Attend faculty development sessions and community partner conference calls.
Use technology to promote student learning and distance education.
Facilitate student rotations in CHC and affiliated hospitals and clinics.
Assist students in developing and implementing community-based projects.
Mentor students regarding policies, standards and career planning.
Seek out potential ATSU Hometown Scholar candidates in CHC community.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS - HERE'S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
HS diploma or GED equivalent
Certifications are required and documentation must be submitted:
For Fitness Classes:
o National certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM, ISSA, etc.) or format specific training (i.e. Les Mills, Zumba, Keiser, U-Jam Fitness, etc.) accepted to teach free programming
o Must complete online and in-person internal training requirements to teach paid programming
o Lifeguard certification must be held to teach any aqua programming. If not already obtained, in-house training will be provided after hire.
For Sports Classes/Clinics:
o 2+ years of team sports experience need to teach free programming
o National certification is required to teach paid programming: (i.e. USPTA, USTA Net Generation, USAPA, IPTPA, US Masters certification)
Audition is required as part of the selection process
Strong motivational skills
Must be able to work independently
