Elite Welding Academy (EWA) is an accredited Trade School that focuses on welding
instruction. In addition to maintaining the professionalism expected at a higher education
organization, a weld instructor is expected to demonstrate and maintain competence in the
areas of responsibilities outline below. In addition, under general supervision the instructor
may be asked to conduct presentations at high schools, community, and technical schools to
provide general information regarding academy admissions and academics as part of the
student recruitment process.
Responsibilities:
1) Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of structural and pipe welding.
2) Demonstrate the ability to instruct students in the lab environment.
3) Have the ability to teach classroom modules.
4) Evaluate student's abilities and behaviors using evaluation form.
5) Be informed of and enforce safety procedures at all times.
6) Assist lead instructor in tracking of materials & consumables
7) Any other duties deemed necessary by management
Qualifications:
Level 1:
Minimum 3 years' experience as a pipe welder
High School Diploma or GED
Pass background check
Pass a drug screen
Pass a three-part welding test
