Suffolk University Law School invites applications for a tenure-track clinical faculty member direct our Transactional Law Clinic starting in the 2026-27 academic year. The Transactional Law Clinic will provide students with the transferable legal practical experience they need to navigate a diverse range of transactional law practices. Associate / Assistant Professor of Counseling, 12-Month position, available January 2025 and August 2025. Primary teaching responsibilities include face-to-face, hybrid, and online graduate courses. The faculty workload consists of the teaching equivalent of 18 graduate credit hours per academic year. Additional duties include academic advising, scholarly productivity, college service, collaboration, accreditation related activities, promotion of the program and the college, and other duties as assigned by the department chair.
We are seeking applicants with clinical experience that can bring that expertise to the classroom. Applicants with an interest in addressing disparities in all aspects of counseling and/or whose work has focused on behavioral health equity for underserved and unserved communities will be of particular interest. We are seeking applicants with interest, expertise and/or experience with children, adolescents, and families. The successful candidate may teach relevant courses as well as other generalist foundational courses in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling M.A. program.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program preferred, or doctoral degree in counseling or related area with at least one-year full time teaching experience in a graduate counseling program prior to July 1, 2013 (as per CACREP 2024 standards). Preference will be given to applicants from a CACREP accredited program. Will also consider Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, with a master's degree in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Professional License: Licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts (or license eligible if licensed as a counselor in another state with the expectation of obtaining the LMHC in MA within a year of employment). Licensed or license eligible as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) will be considered. Licensed psychologists who are eligible to be licensed as LMHC will be considered. Faculty is expected to have a clinical license within a year of employment.
Counselor Professional Identity: established professional identity as a mental health counselor and professional service as demonstrated by participation in counseling professional associations, presentations at conferences, and/or continued education presentations, among others.
Clinical Experience: Prefer three years full time or equivalent of clinical experience post-master's degree. At least two years of clinical experience is required as well as maintaining some involvement in clinical practice or consultation.
Teaching Experience: At least one year of experience teaching graduate students in a counseling program, including experience supervising practicum and internship students.
Scholarship: research experience, or development of pedagogical or clinical interventions, programs, or evaluation methods.
Familiarity with accreditation compliance and assessment reporting.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas preferred: children and adolescents; psychological assessment; group counseling; career counseling; psychopathology; diversity.

On Campus MSW Program:
Aligned with the mission of Merrimack College, the Master of Social Work program is an on-ground advanced generalist program and is accredited by CSWE. Faculty are expected to teach on-campus courses in the evening after 4:00 pm. Online courses will be asynchronous and synchronous. Dean College's Dean R. Sanders '47 School of Business is looking for dynamic, experienced, student-centered educators to teach in the Sports Broadcasting major within the Communications Program during the Spring 2026 semester. The College seeks Adjunct Faculty focusing on experiential learning and active engagement in their classrooms. Adjuncts chosen to teach at Dean create a compelling and professional learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds.
We are seeking one or more adjunct instructors who can teach a variety of communications and sports broadcasting courses on topics including sports information, sports and entertainment media, media theory and more to teach one or two 3-credit courses that meet either in-person or synchronously online for 2.5 hours/week. The adjunct pay rate is $3,300/section. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold one office hour each week for each section they teach. The Communications program provides a course charter with course objectives as well as sample syllabi. All faculty are expected to make active use of the learning management system (Canvas) at least at a minimum level established by the College.
The teaching slots where these courses are scheduled include:
* Monday/Wednesday - 11:00am-12:15pm
* Monday/Wednesday - 5:00-6:15pm
* Tuesday/Thursday - 8:00-9:15am
Requirements:
* Master's degree in communications or a related field is required; PhD in a related discipline is preferred.
* Experience teaching at the college level in person is required; experience teaching second- and third-year undergraduates is preferred.
* Strong computer skills is required - experience using technologies and/or strategies to enhance pedagogy is required.
* Ability and willingness to be responsive and supportive to students through college online resources and digital tools is required.
* Experience with or willingness to learn Canvas, our learning management system, and classroom media is required.
* Expertise in learner-centered teaching is required.
* Experience and ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse student body with a variety of learning styles, required.

Term Lecturers are appointed on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon student demand, and typically teach between 3-9 credits per semester, dependent on program requirements, in various formats (ex. classroom settings, labs, simulation spaces, at clinical sites).
Term Lecturers hired into these roles will possess one of following titles: Term Lecturer, Course Developer, Facilitator, Laboratory Instructor, Simulation Coordinator, Site Clinical Instructor, Teaching Fellow, Clinical Oversight Instructor, or Project Mentor.
Responsibilities primarily involve delivering didactic content through both on-site and online platforms, managing course delivery, grading, student mentoring, and maintaining regular office hours.
Qualifications
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The specific duties and responsibilities are contingent on the program and role. During the selection process, relevant program details will be provided.
Generally, the Term Lecturer will:
* Deliver high-quality instruction in alignment with their area of expertise and program needs.
* Develop and manage online course content using Desire to Learn (D2L) where applicable.
* Publish and maintain the course syllabus.
* Oversee course management and content delivery.
* Conduct assessments and assign grades for student performance.
* Provide student mentoring and academic support, including designated office hours.
While specific qualifications are program-dependent and will be clarified during the selection process, all Term Lecturers should generally possess:
* An advanced or terminal degree in a relevant field.
* Previous clinical experience in applicable programs.
* An active professional license for programs requiring licensure.

The qualified applicant will have an adjunct faculty appointment (non-tenure track) in the Department of Clinical Education and Clinical Sciences at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). The Screening Instructor will be overseen by the Patient Care I Instructor of Record who reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The College is a small, dynamic institution located in the historic Back Bay section of Boston and has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and research.
Screening Instructors will lead first-year NECO students in weekly morning screening sessions at local Boston area schools in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Generally, 2 screening instructors are paired with 10 first-year students during each 4-hour screening session.
Screening instructors can participate in as few as one screening per week or as many as 5 screenings per week on a per diem or supplemental basis. ($400/5 hours, 4 hours screenings and 1 hour admin time). Screenings are only held in the mornings (M-F in the fall, M-Th in the spring semester.)

PHTH 2515. Healthcare Policy and Administration. Focuses on management and policy issues in healthcare. Discusses management and administrative structures in hospitals and other healthcare organizations, including community clinics and health organizations, both private and public. Introduces the financial systems, economic information, and payment mechanisms necessary to understand healthcare financing. Also explores the variety of factors that influence population health from a healthcare policy perspective. Offers students an opportunity to learn how to analyze, prepare, and write policy briefs based on understanding the various economic, legal, and political forces shaping healthcare in the United States.
PHTH 4202. Principles of Epidemiology in Medicine and Public Health. Introduces the principles of epidemiology necessary to critically evaluate the published research in medicine, public health, and related fields. Through careful reading of literature, class discussion, and lectures, familiarizes students with the study of design-related considerations that are an indispensable part of interpreting scientific literature. Offers students an opportunity to learn how to recognize critical elements of research design and execution (e.g., loss to follow-up in randomized clinical trials and other cohort designs, selection bias in case control studies, etc.); identify the strengths and limitations of different approaches to research questions; deepen their understanding of causal inference; and recognize the provisional nature of scientific knowledge. Covers issues of statistical methods and data analysis; however, there are no computational requirements.
