For more information, visit ***************** Job Description: The Theology and Religious Studies department is looking for adjunct faculty to teach one section of the following Spring 2026 Courses: THRS 2105: Judaism This course offers an introduction to Judaism and surveys its history. It examines scripture, beliefs, ritual, ethics, intellectual life and the roles of women. This course meets M/W 4:15-5:30PM. THRS 2130: Catholic Social Teaching This course will provide an introduction to over 100 years of Catholic social teaching, using papal encyclicals and pastoral letters from the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops primarily. Analysis of the documents and critiques of the teachings will also be used. Each of the documents will be grounded in its sociological, political, economic and religious context. A service-learning component will be included in the course introducing students to service to people in poverty in the Boston area. The mission of national and international Catholic social justice organizations will also be highlighted.     Requirements Starting December 2025, the music department seeks a passionate and energetic part-time violin teacher to meet our students' needs in classical violin instruction. The ideal candidate will have a substantial background teaching violin from a varied repertoire to beginner through advanced students. We will value candidates who can effectively build solo artistry as well as the musical skills required to successfully work with ensembles. We seek colleagues interested in being part of a collaborative faculty of more than 40 instructors who work with highly motivated high school students in a diverse, mostly residential community. The preferred candidate can be available to teach at least two days per week. Part-time adjunct faculty. Position is for the Winter and Spring terms of the '25-'26 school year with the possibility of subsequent continued employment. Hours vary according to the size of studio roster and the needs of the students and the Academy Accountabilities Teaching Work with students to set goals for private lessons and select repertoire that is broadly representational and musically diverse. Teach weekly private lessons (50 minutes each) for high school violin students from intermediate to advanced levels. Create a weekly schedule for private lessons and communicate with students regarding schedule changes. Maintain accurate rosters, monitor student attendance, enter grades and comments in a timely manner according to the Academic Advising Calendar and deadlines set by the music department.
