    The Opportunity Lesley University is seeking a Core Faculty member in Counseling and Psychology to teach and advise students in the Counseling and Psychology Master's and Doctoral programs. This position will report to the Associate Provost for Mental Health and Wellbeing, and will work closely with the Chair of the Graduate Department of Counseling and Psychology. The core faculty member will demonstrate a commitment to teaching, reflective practice, and scholarship. The core faculty member will demonstrate a commitment to a counseling practice that emphasizes social justice and trauma-informed approaches to counseling and healing. Candidates with expertise in the areas of trauma-informed practices, field training, and/or PreK-12 school counseling will get preferred consideration. The Core Faculty member will be responsible for teaching a full-time course load, participating in departmental and university assemblies, and engaging in scholarship activities relevant to their area of expertise. Additionally, they will work in partnership with student success personnel on student advising and orientation, develop and implement effective teaching practices to incorporate appropriate methodology, and work in partnership with the Associate Provost and Department Chair to engage in formal faculty evaluations with the goals of enhancing student learning, and supporting professional advancement. In addition to filling general program faculty needs, the University is seeking a faculty member with interest in coordinating the Counseling and Psychology School and Community specialization.
