The Department of Pharmacology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina invites applications for a full-time faculty position. The academic appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the tenure track series.
The successful candidate will complement the diverse research portfolio of our newly merged department, which includes T cell biology and adoptive cellular therapy, neuroimmunology, autoimmunity, infectious disease, redox metabolism, glycoproteomics and multimodal spatial omics. Candidates conducting cutting-edge research in any aspect of cancer pharmacology or immunology are especially encouraged to apply, and current strengths in this area include T cell biology and metabolism, tumor microenvironment, target discovery, biomarkers, therapy, and the use of immune cells as a vehicle for therapy. Cancer focused faculty will be located in the Hollings Cancer Center, an NCI designated cancer center. Ideal applicants will be creative and collaborative scientists and will be expected to establish and maintain a rigorous extramurally funded research program, as well as to participate in our strong graduate training programs. Job Responsibilities: The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking applicants for adjunct faculty in Management and Entrepreneurship disciplines in the Baker School of Business. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with high-quality adjunct part-time faculty members who share in The Citadel's commitment to develop principled leaders in business.
There are main programs where adjunct faculty may be employed to teach classes:
* Our traditional undergraduate program, which features face-to-face classes to the South Carolina Corps of Cadets
* Our part time undergraduate degree completion program, which are primarily working adults earning Bachelor's degrees, mostly through online classes.
Minimum Qualifications:
* To teach at the undergraduate level, applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree from an AACSB-Accredited Institution in the appropriate business discipline or in a closely related field.
* Be able to teach in-person classes, on campus in Charleston, SC.
* Evidence of previous effective teaching experience is required.
* Complete Citadel instructor training and follow rules and regulations set by The Citadel Center for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching, Learning and Distance Education (CEITL&DE).
Preference is given to applicants who meet AACSB Qualifications as a Scholarly Academic, Practice Academic, Scholarly Practitioner, or Instructional Practitioner. Official transcripts indicating education level and background check are required prior to employment.
