The School of Interior Architecture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Interior Architecture. We seek a collaborative candidate with innovative research or creative scholarship and progressive teaching agendas in interior architecture. The ability to teach design studio and experience with digital technologies is required. **About the Duties and Responsibilities of the Tenure-Track Appointment**
The Assistant or Associate Professor rank is a full-time, nine-month tenure-track appointment. The candidate will demonstrate a combined contribution of teaching, research/creative scholarship, and service. Research or creative scholarship will demonstrate methods that broaden the discipline of interior architecture. Research/creative scholarship will be incorporated into instructional assignments, allowing undergraduate students to learn from advanced research or creative methods.
A typical instructional assignment includes teaching design studio and lecture/seminar courses across all undergraduate interior architecture curriculum levels. Depending on research/creative scholarship needs, the teaching load may be reduced during the tenure-track period by a 3-credit-hour reduction for two semesters or a 6-credit-hour reduction for one semester.

The successful applicant will join a team of 2 board certified medical oncologists. Three residents in medical oncology, three licensed veterinary technicians, and 2 veterinary assistants complete the oncology team. There is an excellent caseload with a wide spectrum of oncology cases. Radiation oncology facilities are housed within the Veterinary Medical Center and include a Varian Medical Systems Clinac iX Silhouette with 120- MLC linear accelerator. There is also Strontium - 90 therapy, IMRT (Intensity modulated radiation therapy) and record and verify Aria treatment.
The Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences has clinical specialists in internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurology, anesthesiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, emergency/critical care, behavior, dentistry and nutrition. In addition, there is a physical therapy program and opportunities to work with the avian and zoological medicine service on oncology cases. There are excellent diagnostic imaging facilities that include on-site CT scanning, nuclear medicine, ultrasonography, MRI and off-site access to PET scanning to support the oncology program. The faculty promote excellence in patient care and teaching of both veterinary students and house officers. There are also two medical physicists who support the program.
The successful candidate will be expected to continue to develop and provide service in the radiation oncology sector of the oncology program. The candidate will have teaching responsibilities in the oncology course for pre-clinical veterinary students and in the clinical oncology student rotation. Opportunities for collaborative research and for the development of an independent research program are available. Expectations in this regard will depend on the candidate's background as well as effort allocation determined by employment track. The successful candidate will participate in training of residents enrolled in an American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine approved residency training program in oncology. The VMC has a comprehensive ICU and four faculty members board certified in Veterinary Emergency Medicine and Critical Care; a minimally invasive procedures unit and faculty members with expertise in endoscopy, laparoscopy, and stenting; a state-of-the-art physical therapy facility including hyperbaric oxygen therapy; and onsite stem cell development. Clinical services are supported by excellent clinical pathology and diagnostic pathology departments. A full-time Veterinary Social Work program offers counseling services for clients, faculty, staff, and students. Other support services include behavior and nutrition.
