· **University of Rochester Cancer Center NCI Community Oncology Research Program (URCC NCORP) Research Base (MPIs Mustian and Morrow):** WCI is home to one of only two NCI-funded NCORP Research Bases in the United States in an Academic Medical Center. The URCC NCORP Research Base is a legacy Research base with a long and sustained track record of funding, success and growth; URCC is one of the original Research Bases that were funded within the NCI Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) in 1983-the predecessor to today's NCORP. The URCC NCORP Research Base is a research hub for investigators where they can utilize a network of >25 NCI-funded community-based NCORP affiliates across the United States, which includes more than 700 geographically different community-based oncology practices and a highly-efficient infrastructure for clinical trial recruitment across the U.S. This resource provides unique sources of collegial support, scientific expertise, and infrastructure to aid with development of scientific ideas and grants, as well as, the conduct of studies within the regional WCI catchment area and the national NCORP catchment area.
· **Center for Research on Flavored Tobacco Products (CRoFT; WCI MPIs Rahmen, Ossip and McIntosh):** WCI is one of select few cancer centers in the U.S. with a Tobacco Center for Regulatory Research. Our recently funded center, is a collaborative center with Roswell Park Cancer Institute. CRoFT foci include four main areas: 1) assessing flavor and toxicity, 2) characterizing flavors and their impact on behavior, 3) determining respiratory health effects of flavors, and 4) evaluating the effects of product marketing. This center also provides CPC investigators with access to unique cores and pilot funding.
· **Clinical and Translational Cancer Control Research Training Program (CCRTP; MPIs Janelsins and Morrow):** The WCI CCRTP provides PhD and MD trainees with the tools and experiences necessary to establish careers as outstanding independent investigators in clinical and translational cancer control research. Our trainees produced 145 unique manuscripts, obtained several prestigious research awards, and earned $4.1 million in research funding. To date, 29 of the 31 trainees who completed the program (last 15 years) obtained tenure-track academic positions, and achieved a total of $63 million in independent funding, including 25 R-grants. Throughout our history, we have recruited approximately 50% women and 30% minority trainees. A majority (94%) of our trainees are still in academic cancer research-focused careers at Assistant (15), Associate (11), and Full (3) Professor levels; some have also become leaders or directors of major programs within cancer centers.
· **Clinical and Translational Science Institute:** The University of Rochester Medical Center was one of the first 12 academic medical centers in the country to receive a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) 2006 and has been continuously funded since that time. The initial $40 million grant allowed URMC to leverage additional funding and build the $60 million Saunders Research Building, which brings together clinical and translational scientists and resources (e.g., WCI CPC Program, URCC NCORP, others) under one roof. CPC investigators have access to all of the CTSI infrastructure, services, spaces and pilot funding provided by the CTSI.

A. General

B. Teaching
• Each instructor is responsible for planning and presenting course material; establishing course objectives and requirements, and communicating them to students; selecting and ordering texts and supplemental materials; preparing, administering and grading papers and examinations; and assigning grades without discrimination, in accordance with the nondiscrimination policy as it appears in the College catalog.

Salary information: $46.35/hr. assist; $56.65/hr. lead

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Members of the faculty are responsible for the instruction of the curriculum and the assessment of student learning. Faculty also advance the mission of the institution through their work in the areas of research and scholarly activities and citizenship in accordance with the parameters of the Faculty Handbook.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Adjunct faculty position with teaching responsibilities in one or a combination of the departments of foundational sciences, clinical sciences, principles of healthcare practice, integrated chiropractic therapies, or health centers in alignment with professional training in clinical psychology. Teaching responsibilities in the health centers includes management of patient care.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Responsible to the Assistant Vice President for Chiropractic for all aspects of the educational program. Responsible to the Dean of Clinical Education for all clinical responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. General
The faculty consists of all individuals in the employ of Northeast College holding academic rank and engaged in instructional, scholarly and professional, or academic service activities for the College. These activities include, but are not limited to: laboratory, classroom, online, and health center instruction; work of professional librarians; course and curriculum development; research; participation in student advising, enrollment management functions, College governance; and service to one's profession.
B. Teaching
• Each instructor is responsible for planning and presenting course material; establishing course objectives and requirements, and communicating them to students; selecting and ordering texts and supplemental materials; preparing, administering and grading papers and examinations; and assigning grades without discrimination, in accordance with the nondiscrimination policy as it appears in the College catalog.
• Specific responsibilities include providing students with appropriate, current course material consistent with the overall curriculum; assuring student comprehension and competency; and providing unbiased outcome assessments.
• Demonstrates mastery of the following characteristics and traits: command and analytical approach to subject matter, recognition and evaluation of variant interpretations of appropriate data, and integration of current knowledge within the field into traditionally accepted subject matter.
• Clearly explain expectations and subject matter, recognize student levels of comprehension, define objectives, summarize major points, organize material logically, and emphasize important ideas.
• Encourage student participation and interaction, be sensitive to class response, deal with students ethically, allot ample time for consultation, and seek a professional rapport with student.
• Motivate and academically challenge students, be dedicated to subject material and the teaching profession, display self-confidence, and communicate a sense of enthusiasm for pursuit of knowledge.
• Faculty must be prepared and willing to academically assist, advise and counsel students regarding their work in classes and to recognize when a student requires professional assistance with problems of a personal or academic nature so that professional help can be obtained.
• As a Faculty Clinician, adhere to policies and procedures for delivering patient care at your assigned health center site.
C. Research and Scholarly Activities
Activities in this area are typically project-oriented: basic science or clinical research, authorship of a book or journal article, and scholarly media productions within one's area of expertise.
D. Citizenship
Citizenship takes many forms, depending upon individual interests, and all faculty are encouraged to lend their talents to benefit the College community, the professional and/or academic community, and the local community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the field in which they are teaching from an accredited institution.
• Faculty who supervise clinical experiences must possess a license to practice in any jurisdiction where they are assigned.
• A demonstrated aptitude for teaching health science students.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to function in a team.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
METHODS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Yearly written evaluation of performance in the work areas of teaching, research and scholarly activities, and citizenship by the faculty supervisor in accordance with the Northeast College Faculty Handbook.

The Kids Instructor provides best-in-class, educational/fitness-minded programming for our children. They organize, instruct and implement safe, fun and entertaining activities and games for children between the ages of three months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. Kids Instructors may also host parties and other events.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
* Fosters children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing organized activities in accordance with the Kids Academy Schedule
* Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming
* Maintains records of children's attendance, development, and incidents.
* Monitors and interacts with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to the toys, sports equipment, other children, and surroundings
* Utilizes positive behavior management techniques and communicates clearly with parents and team members
* Promotes all Junior programming to increase participation in all Kids & Aquatics programming
* Maintains the Kids Academy and other program areas by following the cleaning checklist and performing assigned tasks. Restocks supplies after each class
* Handles incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
Position Requirements
* Less than a High School Diploma or GED
* Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work
* First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Preferred Requirements
* 6+ months of teaching children ages 3 - 11 in similar programs or activities
* Ability to engage a group of children in an activity
* Customer service and strong communication skills
