Primary Purpose of Position
Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of plant specific nuclear maintenance and technical training programs (Chemistry, Engineering, Maintenance: Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical, and Radiation Protection).
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Drives the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Coordinates, and conducts performance-based maintenance and technical training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high- quality training.
Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED with 3 years of nuclear technical discipline experience or 5 years of related (applicable discipline instruction) experience OR
Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g. chemistry, engineering, health physics, mathematics, physics), education or training with 2 years of related technical discipline experience or 4 years of related (applicable discipline instruction) experience
The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.5.4) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

The job entails significant work in development and maintenance of the program and the promotion of student success. Specific responsibilities for this position include the following:
Teaching
This faculty's primary responsibility is to teach required courses in the curriculum. Typically, this includes one 6-cr design studio and one 3-cr lecture course within the Integrated Building Systems course sequence during two academic terms per year in both the campus and online settings. Additionally, this faculty member will help advise thesis students and teach an additional elective course every other year. The M Arch program is offered on campus as well as online and all faculty are assigned to teach in both realms and modalities. Please note that the Online Master of Architecture program runs during fall, spring, and summer terms; therefore, an opportunity exists to teach and advise students during the summer term via overload or teaching load shifting.
For this position, the technical area of expertise sought is Building Sciences/Technology, which includes all or some of the following: architectural materials and assemblies, site, structural, MEP, building performance analysis depending on the specific Integrated Building Systems course taught. This faculty member will teach Building Sciences/Technology content in corequisite lecture and studio courses; therefore, the lecture and studio courses assigned to the successful candidate will be in related content areas.
Scholarship
RIT recognizes five forms of scholarship: scholarship of discovery, scholarship of integration, scholarship of application, scholarship of teaching, and scholarship of engagement. Furthermore, the Department of Architecture uses the 2017 ACSA "Research and Scholarship for Promotion, Tenure, and Reappointments in Schools of Architecture" white paper to evaluate faculty research and Scholarship. Established through congressionally directed funding, the Shelby Endowment for Distinguished Faculty, embodies the commitment of Senator Richard Shelby and Dr. Annette Shelby to advancing education and strengthening Alabama's higher education system. Their lifelong dedication to public service, both in the Senate and in academia, is reflected in this significant initiative. This permanent $100 million fund is designed to elevate The University of Alabama's influence in STEM fields by attracting and retaining top-tier faculty, providing comprehensive support for their teaching, research and service. As a result, the endowment will play a crucial role in enhancing the development and security of both Alabama and the United States. This endowment will implement their vision by multiplying UA's impact in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The endowment will be used to recruit and retain preeminent STEM faculty and fully support their work as they actively and consistently engage in teaching, research and service at The University of Alabama. ENDOWED FACULTY DESIGNATIONS
* ENDOWED SHELBY DISTINGUISHED PROFESSOR: Highly established faculty at the rank of full professor must meet or exceed all requirements to receive annual support commensurate with their achievements from the endowment fund, to be used consistent with the endowment fund's purposes, as described herein.
* ENDOWED SHELBY DISTINGUISHED ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: Established faculty at the rank of associate professor must exhibit an emerging reputation to meet or exceed the requirements to receive this distinction. Appointees will receive annual support commensurate with their achievements from the endowment fund, to be used consistent with the endowment fund's purposes, as described herein.
Appointment as a Shelby Distinguished Faculty member will be for a five-year renewable term. Renewal of the appointment is contingent upon satisfaction of a yearly review that demonstrates continued productivity and excellence in scholarly and creative endeavors that satisfy the high standards and purposes of the Shelby Endowment, recommendation by the dean or vice president for research and economic development, and approval of the provost, president and the Board of Trustees.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who enjoys working in a fast-adapting, multidisciplinary environment and who shows enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues within the department and school as well as across disciplines.
Tenure-track faculty in the Department of Accounting and Finance carry a three-three teaching load. They are expected to be effective, innovative, and committed teachers and active researchers. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in multiple modalities (i.e., in person, online, and hybrid).
The successful candidate is expected to engage in scholarship to build and maintain a strong publication record, produce original research for publication in quality peer-reviewed journals. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Members of the faculty are responsible for the instruction of the curriculum and the assessment of student learning. Faculty also advance the mission of the institution through their work in the areas of research and scholarly activities and citizenship in accordance with the parameters of the Faculty Handbook.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Adjunct faculty position with teaching responsibilities in one or a combination of the departments of foundational sciences, clinical sciences, principles of healthcare practice, integrated chiropractic therapies, or health centers in alignment with professional training in clinical psychology. Teaching responsibilities in the health centers includes management of patient care.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Responsible to the Assistant Vice President for Chiropractic for all aspects of the educational program. Responsible to the Dean of Clinical Education for all clinical responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. General
The faculty consists of all individuals in the employ of Northeast College holding academic rank and engaged in instructional, scholarly and professional, or academic service activities for the College. These activities include, but are not limited to: laboratory, classroom, online, and health center instruction; work of professional librarians; course and curriculum development; research; participation in student advising, enrollment management functions, College governance; and service to one's profession.
B. Teaching
• Each instructor is responsible for planning and presenting course material; establishing course objectives and requirements, and communicating them to students; selecting and ordering texts and supplemental materials; preparing, administering and grading papers and examinations; and assigning grades without discrimination, in accordance with the nondiscrimination policy as it appears in the College catalog.
• Specific responsibilities include providing students with appropriate, current course material consistent with the overall curriculum; assuring student comprehension and competency; and providing unbiased outcome assessments.
• Demonstrates mastery of the following characteristics and traits: command and analytical approach to subject matter, recognition and evaluation of variant interpretations of appropriate data, and integration of current knowledge within the field into traditionally accepted subject matter.
• Clearly explain expectations and subject matter, recognize student levels of comprehension, define objectives, summarize major points, organize material logically, and emphasize important ideas.
• Encourage student participation and interaction, be sensitive to class response, deal with students ethically, allot ample time for consultation, and seek a professional rapport with student.
• Motivate and academically challenge students, be dedicated to subject material and the teaching profession, display self-confidence, and communicate a sense of enthusiasm for pursuit of knowledge.
• Faculty must be prepared and willing to academically assist, advise and counsel students regarding their work in classes and to recognize when a student requires professional assistance with problems of a personal or academic nature so that professional help can be obtained.
• As a Faculty Clinician, adhere to policies and procedures for delivering patient care at your assigned health center site.
C. Research and Scholarly Activities
Activities in this area are typically project-oriented: basic science or clinical research, authorship of a book or journal article, and scholarly media productions within one's area of expertise.
D. Citizenship
Citizenship takes many forms, depending upon individual interests, and all faculty are encouraged to lend their talents to benefit the College community, the professional and/or academic community, and the local community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the field in which they are teaching from an accredited institution.
• Faculty who supervise clinical experiences must possess a license to practice in any jurisdiction where they are assigned.
• A demonstrated aptitude for teaching health science students.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to function in a team.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
METHODS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Yearly written evaluation of performance in the work areas of teaching, research and scholarly activities, and citizenship by the faculty supervisor in accordance with the Northeast College Faculty Handbook.
