Primary Purpose of Position
Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of plant specific nuclear licensed operations training programs.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Drives the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Coordinates, and conducts performance-based operations Reactor Operator (RO)/Non-Licensed Operator (NLO) training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs.
Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.
Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high-quality training.
Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience OR
Associate's degree in a technical discipline, education, or training with 4 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience OR
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science, education or training with 2 years of related (e.g. test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator) experience
The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.5.4) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"

Position Summary
The Metadata Librarian will take the lead on creating original metadata for analog and digital resources in all languages and formats, coordinate metadata outsourcing and batch loading, set department metadata policies and best practices, and develop metadata creation and remediation workflows. As the manager of the Metadata Unit, the Metadata Librarian supervises two full-time staff members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Supervises two staff members whose primary responsibilities include copy cataloging, data entry, and catalog maintenance. Assigns tasks and sets goals.

The Department of Computer Science in the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a federally designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD), seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in cybersecurity, computer networks, or related areas to begin in August 2026.
This is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in our cybersecurity and computer science programs; research; and service to the university, community, and profession. Research and teaching expertise should complement existing faculty expertise.
Job Details:
The successful candidate will be able to teach a variety of courses across the Cybersecurity B.S. and M.S. programs. Specific course assignments will depend on the candidate's experience and the department's needs, but may include courses in programming, web security, cloud security, system and software security, operating systems, digital forensics, computer networking, information privacy, or other topics related to cybersecurity.
The candidate will also be expected to pursue an active research agenda that engages undergraduate and graduate students; results in publications; and contributes to advancing the department, university, profession, and society. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to participate in service activities and to embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion as a member of the university community.
Responsibilities:
Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses and supervising graduate capstone projects or thesis research, depending on the candidate's interests and experience as well as the department's needs. Standard teaching load in the department is 12 credits per semester; research grants or other external funding may be used to reduce this teaching load, subject to department and college approval. Faculty at UW-Whitewater may be required to teach in a variety of formats, including in-person, online, and/or hybrid formats, or courses in the evenings.
Research expectations include publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings, along with grant writing. In addition, faculty members serve as advisors/mentors to students and are encouraged to engage undergraduate and graduate students in research or other scholarly and creative activities.
Service responsibilities include committee service at the departmental, college, and university levels as well as participation in community organizations and the discipline as relevant to the candidate's expertise and interest. All students, faculty, and staff are required to ensure their materials are digitally accessible and utilize standard technology platforms supported by UW-Whitewater. Examples include, but are not limited to, Navigate, Canvas, and Microsoft Office applications - including Outlook, which is essential for university email communications and scheduling.

With focus areas in cybersecurity and in artificial intelligence, the department supports more than 400 undergraduate majors in computer science and cybersecurity, as well as over 150 undergraduate minors in computer science, cybersecurity, data science, bioinformatics, and website development and administration. Graduate programs supported by the department include Master of Science programs in Computer Science (on-campus and online) and in Cybersecurity (online). The department fosters a collegial relationship among faculty and staff, who provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and actively engage in research and education grants funded by agencies such as the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
As a federally designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) institution, UW-Whitewater delivers high-quality cybersecurity programs and supports student competitions, research, and outreach activities that prepare students for careers in the cyber workforce. Cybersecurity faculty and staff in the Department of Computer Science work closely with their colleagues in the Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management within the College of Business and Economics. Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering, electrical engineering, information systems, or a closely related area is required. ABD candidates may apply but must have their degree completed by the contract start date in August 2026; if not, they will be hired on a one-year contract with the understanding that their degree will be completed before January 2027 in advance of their first scheduled review.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching with an emphasis on promoting the success of undergraduate and graduate students, clear evidence of scholarly potential, commitment to working with inclusive populations, and willingness to serve as an active member of the university community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in one or more areas of growth or need within the department, including cybersecurity, information privacy, computer/wireless networking, or other related areas.
Record of successful teaching experience and/or professional development in teaching, especially in teaching undergraduate students and/or in teaching fully online.
Cybersecurity work experience in industry, government, or military settings. Ability to involve undergraduate and graduate students in research.
Interest in introducing or developing activities that will broaden the participation of students from underrepresented groups in computing.
