The Institute for Cognitive and Brain Health (CBH) is a collaborative research community with faculty from the College of Science, Bouvé College of Health Sciences, College of Arts, Music, and Design, and the College of Engineering. The College of Science comprises six departments: Psychology, Biology, Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Marine and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics. Cross-disciplinary research programs and appointments are strongly encouraged within the College, and across the University.
The Department of Psychology is strongly interdisciplinary, with 24 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 25 non-tenure-track teaching faculty, and 5 additional faculty with joint appointments in Music, Computer Sciences, Political Science and Communication Sciences and Disorders. Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction to students within Expanded Education, focusing on specific music disciplines (e.g., voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, composition, music theory, etc.).
Develop and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of students at different skill levels and ages.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, fostering their musical growth, technical skills, and artistic expression.
Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, and competitions, encouraging their confidence and stage presence.
Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance teaching methodologies and stay updated with industry trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in music education, performance, or a related field.
Proven expertise and experience in teaching one or more music disciplines with a track record of successful student outcomes.

As an adjunct faculty, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing formal learning in the on campus or online Master of Social Work program with the primary duties being effective delivery of instructional material and course management (e.g., assessments, grading, etc.). Adjunct faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to advancing human rights and empowering all individuals and communities through curriculum delivery, clinical training & supervision, and advising & mentoring with students.
Content expertise and/or professional applied experience (e.g., social work practice with individuals, families, groups, communities, and organizations) for graduate courses is highly preferred. Social work courses are taught in late afternoon and evening. The successful candidate should demonstrate the experience or ability to teach a range of courses in social work discipline including but not limited to: Introduction to Social Work Research and Practice, Evaluation of Social Work Practice, Contemporary Social Welfare Policy, and other related courses.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program or equivalency as defined by CSWE is required.
* An earned doctorate (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) or an advanced doctorate candidate in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or a related doctoral degree is preferred.
* LCSW/LICSW with minimum 5-years post clinical practice experience is preferred.

The New England College of Optometry invites applications for part-time (non-benefits eligible) Adjunct Instructor Faculty for our School Screening Program, a key component of the Patient Care I (PCI) Course. The qualified applicant will have an adjunct faculty appointment (non-tenure track) in the Department of Clinical Education and Clinical Sciences at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). The Screening Instructor will be overseen by the Patient Care I Instructor of Record who reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The College is a small, dynamic institution located in the historic Back Bay section of Boston and has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and research.
Screening Instructors will lead first-year NECO students in weekly morning screening sessions at local Boston area schools in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Generally, 2 screening instructors are paired with 10 first-year students during each 4-hour screening session.
Screening instructors can participate in as few as one screening per week or as many as 5 screenings per week on a per diem or supplemental basis. ($400/5 hours, 4 hours screenings and 1 hour admin time). Screenings are only held in the mornings (M-F in the fall, M-Th in the spring semester.)
