Western Wyoming Community College (Western) invites applications for Adjuncts for the education department. This position will consist of teaching no more than 9 credits per Fall/Spring semesters and no more than 6 credits per Summer semester on the campus of Rock Springs, Wyoming, as well as from a distance via the institution's learning management system (Canvas). Successful candidates will teach lower and upper division courses in the Elementary and Secondary Education program as needed/assigned. The candidate may teach in a variety of environments and modes: team-taught offerings, day offerings, evening offerings, online offerings, hybrid offerings, etc. including the assessing of students based on program goals and course objectives; maintain appropriate contact with students in the course; develop good working relationships with discipline-related professionals in the College's Service area; and be active in one's field of expertise.
It is expected that this individual will accomplish assigned duties in an efficient, effective and competent manner, and strive for improvement and excellence in all work performed. Additionally, this individual must understand the comprehensive role of the community college and cooperate and work harmoniously with college personnel and the public. Primary Duties:
Teaching responsibilities of undergraduate courses in General Teacher Preparation including but not limited to Education Foundations, Special Education, Classroom Management, Early Childhood, Methods, Educational Assessments, Practicum Supervision, and Student Teaching Supervision. Other courses may be assigned to fit the successful candidate's expertise and program demand as approved by the School Chair.
Other Duties:
* Designs and implements effective learning processes for students; provides feedback on student improvement in attaining the College's Learning Goals.
* Timely submission of course rosters, syllabi, mid-term & final grades, and other required information.
* Completion of required workshops, course assessments, and evaluations as approved by the School Chair.
* Must adhere to College and Department of Education faculty standards, policies, and expectations.
* Submit program assessment data as required by the School Chair or the Department Facilitator.
* Regularly check email and respond in a timely manner to school chair, department facilitator, etc.
* Refers students to the resources in the College Learning Center, Peer Tutor Center, NetTutor, Library, Mustang Success, and Wellness & Accessibility Center.
* Participate in annual Adjunct In-Service, all Departmental assessments, Title IX and other trainings.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities)
Education
* Master's degree in Education, OR
* Master's degree in another field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Education.
* Coursework must be directly related to the type of course being taught
Experience
* Five (5) years of K-12 teaching experience.
Knowledge and Abilities
* Documented extensive professional knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
* Educational foundations
* Classroom management
* Educational assessment
* K-6 instructional methods (humanities, science, and/or mathematics)
* Early childhood education
* Special education

The Faculty Advisor for Career and College Readiness is a key member of the Faculty Advisory Team within the Pearson North America Higher Education Customer Success Organization. They will strategically identify and partner with key course-level administrators, acting as a subject-matter expert to advise on the implementation of the Pearson digital product and to consult on the redesign of courses and/or curriculum. They will share their expertise in how to best align Pearson digital products to support the customer's initiatives.
The Faculty Advisor will have expert-level knowledge of Pearson digital implementation models in Mastering, MyLab, Revel, and eText within courses related to their own teaching/research field and be able to extrapolate those skills into the rest of the Career and College Readiness curriculums and tools. They will develop and utilize a set of milestones to effectively track growth and success, using an established rubric and reporting template to facilitate these internal and external discussions.
The Faculty Advisor should have expert knowledge of and experience in K-12 education and college readiness. Additional knowledge of and experience in vocational and professional studies is highly desirable. Understanding of state and local standards for K-12 education is integral to success in this role. The Faculty Advisor must be able to design courses to align with standards, as well as learning outcomes.

**Responsibilities**
+ Partner with course-level administrators, providing discipline experience and digital product knowledge, to advise on the right integration of Pearson digital products and implementation that will best support teaching and learning goals.
+ Consult on digital assessment, grading, and reporting strategies; Provide deep understanding and best practices knowledge for instructing with Career and College Readiness curriclum.

Job Description
In this role, the clinical instructor:
* Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession
* Teaching is onsite (in clinical setting) with one of our clinical partners. Schedule: most commonly 12-hour rotations (7a-7p) for three to four consecutive days.
* Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments
* Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to an individual or group of individuals
* Evaluates and provides documented feedback to student on level of performance based on course objectives
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites
* Is available for remediation of students as required or needed
* Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the agency/clinical personnel
* Develops and posts written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency and individual learning needs
* Grades homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork and other written work in a timely manner
* May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator
* Keeps course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns

Qualifications

The Faculty Advisor for Mathematics is a key member of the Faculty Advisory Team within the Pearson North America Higher Education Customer Success Organization. Assistant Professor/Extension Specialist, Livestock & Agricultural Marketing
JOB PURPOSE:
The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics in the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences, and Natural Resources seeks applications for a 9-month tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in Livestock and Agricultural Marketing. The successful candidate will have a majority Extension appointment (60%). The remainder of the appointment will include research and could include teaching depending on candidate interests (exact job duties distribution is negotiable).
Livestock and agricultural production are central to Wyoming's economy, culture, and natural resource use. Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain West are home to some of the largest cattle and sheep operations in the United States, as well as innovative value-added enterprises and marketing systems that face rapidly evolving market conditions, consumer preferences, and policy environments. We seek an individual to develop an innovative applied research and Extension program that advances applied economic analysis of livestock and agricultural marketing, strengthens the Agriculture and Natural Resources focus area of UW Extension, and supports the economic vitality and resilience of Wyoming's agricultural producers and rural communities.
Key topic areas may include: livestock price analysis and market outlooks; agricultural risk management; value-added or niche marketing for Wyoming's primary livestock and crop products; supply chain and market access; integration of production economics with marketing decisions; and evaluation of national/international policies affecting Wyoming's livestock and agricultural markets.
The successful candidate will work with Extension agents around the state to engage with diverse stakeholders - including producers, agribusinesses, industry organizations, government agencies, and policymakers - to co-create solutions that enhance profitability, market access, and long-term sustainability. They will disseminate research results through scholarly journal articles, Extension publications, and presentations to academic, industry, and stakeholder audiences. The successful candidate is expected to secure external funding to support their program and to collaborate with faculty in Animal Sciences, Plant Sciences, and Ecosystem Science and Management on interdisciplinary Extension and research projects.
This position offers significant opportunities to contribute to graduate education across the university. The successful candidate will mentor MS students in Agricultural and Applied Economics and serve on graduate thesis committees in related fields, including Animal Sciences, Plant Sciences, and Ecosystem Science and Management. The ABE/HiSET Instructor is responsible for instructing and tutoring students who are preparing for their HiSET exams. Students are teens and/or adults with limited educational backgrounds and often negative educational experiences. Instructors need to be sensitive to a variety of learning barriers, and able to assist students in obtaining the tools needed to address their individual barriers. Instructional focus is on Math, Reading, Language, Social Studies, Science and Employability. Must be able to assist students with a variety of online testing and instructional curriculum. Responsible for administrative duties associated with record keeping as is required for effective student learning management and continued grant funding. Instructor is responsible for making sure the students and program comply with grant/state guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide live classroom and individual instruction instruction in Math, Language Arts: Reading and Writing, Science and Social Studies to teen and adult students at multiple grade levels.
* Assist students with on-line instructional programs and lessons.
* Provide instruction through several delivery methods, including in class lecture, tutoring, online, distance, remote instruction, and other delivery methods, as appropriate.
* Assess each student's knowledge of course material using approved assessment tools.
* Use pre- and post-assessment data to assist students in developing learning plans and to set realistic goals.
* Assist students in developing SMART goals for program and postsecondary education.
* Model and instruct students in employability skills.
* Track student attendance and other student data as required for student retention, persistence and educational level gains and goals completion.
* Assist in planning and participate in ABE/HEQ graduation and other students recognition events.
* Adjust curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate the learning needs of students.
* Assist in the instruction of ABE/HEQ student orientation course.
* Attend staff meetings, trainings-professional development workshops and conferences related to adult education.
* Provide program information to potential students and interested parties.
* Operate within the framework established by CWC's policies, procedures, and practices.
* Adhere to federal and state guidelines of the Federal/WY AE Grant.
* Perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.

Position Specifications and Minimum Qualifications
Education
* Associate's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
Experience
* Two years' experience working with adults in a remedial or pre-college setting.
Licenses/Certifications
* Valid driver's license

* Equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience with Tutoring or Teaching Mathematics.
* BA degree or Graduate-level coursework
* Demonstrated experience providing online, distance, and/or remote instruction
