This position requires you to receive deliveries and move product within the facility. In addition, this position is essential to ensure our inventory stock remains accurate and organized. Verify accuracy of deliveries and outgoing loads. Move materials between loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and service areas. Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory. Prepare products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them. Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines. Maintain accuracy within all product inventories under the direct responsibility of the department. Dock Worker Using safe lifting techniques. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment in the loading and unloading of freight. Load product onto designated trailers per schedules. Maintain accuracy of bills of loading for all loaded product. Follow SOP for the receiving, staging, loading and documentation for all load schedules. Sort, label, and organize freight. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment used. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to follow instructions and work independently with little guidance. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to organize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Basic to moderate computer skills. Adapt and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work overtime and have flexibility to accommodate the needs of the position. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Certification to operate lift truck preferred. Experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics preferred.
