Job Title: RoomAttendant
Reports To: Head Housekeeper
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: The RoomAttendant is responsible for ensuring the guest rooms are completely serviced at hotel standards for future guests. This includes clean rooms and washed linens on a daily basis to ensure guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Services guest rooms in 26 minutes or less according to the hotel standards
Cleans floors, walls, and all other surfaces using specified chemicals and equipment and specified
Washes linens, makes beds and re arranges furniture; daily.
Operates the vacuum in all guest rooms that are cleaned
Dusts and cleans all furniture and fixtures
Records room status on daily roomattendant sheet
Ensures guest supplies are maintained
Empties and cleans all garbage cans
Cleans and maintains all equipment and products
Report any items in need of repair or replacement to the Head House Keeper
Cleans and inspects public spaces daily
Maintains an accurate inventory of linen, terry, room supplies, and cleaning supplies
Effectively communicates the status of rooms to the front desk staff
Ensures carts are clean, organized, and restocked for the next day
Completes laundry shifts as needed
Performs all other duties as may be assigned

Standard operating procedures, safety work rules and good general manufacturing practices are followed on a daily basis.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.

Clean all lamps and light switches; check for proper working order.
Remove dust, spots and smears from windows, ledges and frames.
Remove dust, grease and smears from telephones and reposition properly.
Remove dust smudges and spills from refrigerator (including doors and shelves; ensure it is plugged in and securely closed.
Remove dust on drapes and realign to correct position daily.
Inspect condition of planters and plants; remove debris.
Remove dust, dirt, marks and fingerprints from entrance door(s).
Ensure presence of fire safety, rate cards and DND sign. Inspect condition and replace as needed.
Remove dust, dirt and smudges from A/C unit, vents, grids and thermostat Set thermostat in accordance with seasonal instructions.
Remove dust, stains and marks from all baseboards, ledges and corners.
Vacuum carpet in guest room.
Spray room with deodorizer.
Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet
Return and restock cart at end of shift.
Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum clean.
Ensure security of any assigned guest room keys.
Handle guest complaints by following procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Report any damages or maintenance problems to the Supervisor. Immediately and according to Company policy.
Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
Be familiar with laundry attendant responsibilities and willing to cross train in other areas as assigned.
