All duties are performed in accordance with an established care plan and under the supervision of the program coordinator. The Caregiver observes the client and reports observations and documents the same along with all care performed. • To perform the functions generally undertaken by the natural homemaker, including such duties as preparation of meals, laundry, light housekeeping and shopping. • Provide and maintain safe environment for client, using equipment safely and properly. • Practice universal precautions in all contact with clients. • To maintain the home in the optimum state of cleanliness and safety depending upon the client and caregiver resources and perform or assist client/family with home maintenance activities as prescribed in the care plan, including, but not limited to, light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, making beds, doing dishes, etc.). • Monitor adequate fluid and nutrition intake of the client and prepare meals. • Provide client transportation by taking shopping or to appointments such as doctor's, hairdresser, etc. • Provide companionship to client by reading, writing letters, playing cards, etc. • Provide personal care to clients. • Respect the autonomy and right to confidentiality of all clients and families. • Document care provided and response of client/family. Submit documentation in a timely manner. • Perform within the limits of preparation and experience. • Consistently meet or exceed Bayley's established service standards functioning according to agency policies and procedures. • Demonstrates the highest degree of customer awareness by seeking out opportunities to identify and meet the needs of internal and external customers. • Treats each person as an individual with respect and dignity. • Is receptive to questions and criticism, and willing to offer assistance. • Demonstrates genuine concern and empathy. • Consistently performs all of the above in a friendly, courteous manner. • Maintains accountability for client satisfaction. • Complies with all local, state, and federal laws, and established Bayley company policies and procedures (which includes confidentiality and HIPPA). • Conducts all business activities in a professional and ethical manner and adheres to Bayley's mission and Code of Conduct.
