Job Description
Banquetservers are responsible for serving the menu offering for the event and assisting guests as needed.
Table setting, food station design, and beverage service.
Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment.
Maintain complete knowledge of:
Daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people.
Location of all hotel function space and names of rooms.
All styles of meeting and banquet room settings.
Correct maintenance and use of equipment.

Job Description
The In Room Dining Server is responsible for taking the guest's food and beverage orders, delivering food and beverage orders in a timely manner, interacting one on one with the guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction. This is a fast-paced position with constant guest interaction. This person must be highly motivated, energetic and possess great communication skills.

We are seeking a BanquetServer to join our rapidly growing Banquets & Catering team.
The Opportunity:
As a Server, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the guest experience and the quality of service that will be extended to visitors, students, faculty and staff on a daily basis. The Server primarily provides a consistent and professional delivery of customer service to guests, including full restaurant table service. As a customer-facing member of the Banquets and Catering team, the Server embodies the values and work ethic of the entire staff. He or she will serve as a positive reflection of the Banquets and Catering team and its commitment to Trojan principles.
The Accountabilities:
Provides professional delivery of food and beverage service to faculty, staff, students and guests. Takes accurate food and beverage orders and provides suggestions to customers based on established menus.
Provides basic hot and cold food and beverage preparation service from recipes.
Serves food and beverages to customers. Checks food and beverage orders for accuracy before they are presented to customers. Maintains established presentation standards for food and beverages. Attends to customers during their dining experience and provides excellent customer service.
Conducts service transactions. Accepts and processes payments for food and beverages in compliance with cash handling policies and procedures, and university and department guidelines.
Stocks and maintains all supplies, food items, and utensils.
Assists in set-up and break-down of dining room/event.
Delivers food items to various locations on university campus and offsite catering events.

Position Summary:
The banquetserver is responsible for providing set up for events at the Faculty Club while providing outstanding service to all clients during both luncheon service and private events. This person assists on luncheons for the University, the President of the University, the Board of Trustees, Rice Women's Club, club members, and guests. As part of the wait staff, they ensure delivery of quality service in a productive manner and ensure that any customer concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. The banquetserver maintains the correct appearance, cleanliness and proper set-up of the dining rooms, checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room, and reports deficiencies.
Work location: Faculty Club @ Cohen House
Working hours expectation: Minimum Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Weekly schedule will vary and will include working late evenings and weekends. Must be available to work any required shift.

Position Summary:
The banquetserver is responsible for providing set up for events at the Faculty Club while providing outstanding service to all clients during both luncheon service and private events. This person assists on luncheons for the University, the President of the University, the Board of Trustees, Rice Women's Club, club members, and guests. As part of the wait staff, they ensure delivery of quality service in a productive manner and ensure that any customer concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. The banquetserver maintains the correct appearance, cleanliness and proper set-up of the dining rooms, checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room, and reports deficiencies.
Work location: Faculty Club @ Cohen House
Working hours expectation: Minimum Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Weekly schedule will vary and will include working late evenings and weekends. Must be available to work any required shift.
This position is considered essential during a campus emergency. The incumbent in this position is expected to report to campus, provide the essential services designated and work under the overall direction of the Crisis Management Team for the duration of a campus emergency.
