The sky is your limit. Job Description Rate of Pay: $21.63/hour USD Housekeeping Room Attendant You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will take ownership of guest rooms, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them. What you will be doing: May include cleaning of kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glasses, silverware etc. Notify supervisor/coordinators when service is complete by punching rooms in phone system. This so rooms may be sold or occupied. Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping. Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures. Follow all of GDM and Forbes standards to each room every single day/night Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience of one year is preferred. Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests. Able to communicate both written and verbally. Reading and counting is essential. Requires basic knowledge of housekeeping Needs to have an aptitude to promote minimum levels of skills and abilities that would create a positive outcome, in a hot and challenging work environment. Must be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds Must have ability to work with others to create attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision. What you will be doing: Assists in developing and maintaining the atmosphere of a private club that will distinguish The Grand Golf Club in a positive manner from all similar competition. Assist with the preparation of monthly membership sales and marketing reports to highlight all sales activities, marketing activities and funnel for new membership sales. The Director will actively develop a Prospective Member Roster from: Personal referrals from members. Directors and officers of major corporations and financial institutions within the market area or other areas deemed appropriate by the Board and management. Association rosters. Professional societies. Mailing lists of new residents, physicians, attorneys, and other professionals. What you will be doing: Attend to the needs of the guests following Fairmont Grand Del Mar Standards. Demonstrate a professional and positive demeanor with members and guests. Accountable for all front office, reservations, group sales and public area operations. Develop and motivate staff to meet and exceed established service standards. Create and maintain a professional, safe, and nurturing environment where the experience at The Grand Del Mar lends itself to making a difference in our guest's lives. Participate in and lead training for support staff in the areas of safety, guest service and team building. Address staff and guest's concerns or questions, resolving appropriately. Take ownership of any guest or staff related problem and handle accordingly. Assure a clean, crisp and sanitary spa facilities Participate in spa reservations, front desk, group sales and attendant staff to ensure the staff is informed, trained and inspired. Maintain availability and dedication to Fairmont Grand Del Mar, being available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. Work cooperatively and professionally with all departments. Attend regular meetings as directed by the Spa and Recreation Management Team. Comply with all Grand Del Mar Company safety and health policies and procedures. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Spa treatments, Recreation activities and take home products as well as all retail products. Keep management informed with all guest, staff and program issues. Stay current on all department information, become well-versed and trained in its application. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager. Maintain the work area to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Share all pertinent information and give appropriate feedback to staff members. Qualifications Must be professional, service oriented, accurate, gentle and work with attention to detail, striving to exceed the expectations of every guest every time. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid California Drivers License; CPR certification within 90 days of hire. Some computer knowledge helpful; not required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office application, Book4Time, Resort Suite (will train) and basic accounting principles. Excellent personal appearance, good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and multitask with ease all while focusing on the guest. Knowledge of guest service and/or hospitality industry a plus. Reliable and energetic with strong communication skills. Flexible schedule required. Ability to work well with others.
