The university's main campus is located in Fairmont, but there is also a branch campus in Clarksburg (the Gaston Caperton Center). FSU has a partnership with Pierpont Community and Technical College in order to offer its students more extensive academic offerings. FSU has an array of bachelor's and master's degrees in areas like Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Entrepreneurial Studies, Graphics Technology, and Nursing. It is recognized for its comprehensive programs in aviation education, and is within close proximity to the Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Education Center.
