    Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging department at our Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a .8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks) position. The shift length will be 8 hours primarily on the day shift. Included is an evening (3p-11p) weekend rotation every 6th week. Southdale offers 24/7 Imaging services to Inpatient Units and Emergency patients. The position in the General Radiology department would offer imaging care to in-patients, out-patients, emergent patients, as well as supporting cases in the OR. The technologists work collaboratively within the Imaging team and amongst varying levels of clinical practitioners. The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience. Responsibilities * Maintains patient care * Performs examinations * Identifies relevant data from images accurately. * Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional * Participates in creating a culture of patient safety * Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness * Verify patient identification and documentation * Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam * Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
