Faith Church company history timeline

1964

Services began in February 1964 under the direction of Pastor Roland Reed, then a missionary with the Fellowship of Baptists for Home Missions.

1965

On Palm Sunday in 1965, the groundbreaking for the building in the cornfield on Stokes Road began.

1967

Beginning in 1967, Glen Lockwood pastored Faith for six fast-growing years.

1975

In 1975, God provided that leadership in Pastor William Goode.

1977

In 1977, Faith officially established Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries for the purpose of providing training in biblical counseling while offering biblical counseling services to the community.

1978

By 1978, all the debt had been retired and an expansion fund started.

1985

In 1985, Pastor Goode and the congregation assisted the counseling ministry in expanding its training opportunity in the development of the current Biblical Counseling Training Conference.

1987

In 1987 Pastor Brown was elected Senior Pastor.

1988

Faith Community Church, aka FCC, began in 1988 under the direction of Pastor Cliff and Eleanor Quantz, who formerly pastored in the Missionary Church denomination.

1996

In February of 1996, our congregation unanimously elected Steve as our senior pastor, and Pastor Goode became our pastor emeritus.

1997

The following year August 23, 1997, Pastor Bill Goode died and went to heaven.

In 1997, God enabled us to begin Faith Christian School, under the leadership of Bob and Joan Leffew.

2001

Upon Pastor Cliff's retirement from active pastoring, FCC brought in another veteran pastor by the name of John Seiter as an Interim Pastor in January, 2001.

2004

Randy and Tammy Smith, PhD, began at FCC in July of 2004.

In 2004, our congregation voted to construct Faith Community Center in an effort to be more effective in accomplishing our mission.

Faith Global Ministries was founded in 2004 to serve as the missions arm of Faith Church.

2008

Vision of Hope opened January 2008 to offer loving, practical solutions from God’s Word to help produce permanent and lasting change in women whose lives have become characterized by negative, life-dominating habits.

2010

In August 2010 the church relocated from its smaller house-looking facility on Ash Rd to the former Jimtown North Elementary School on CR 16, Elkhart.

2012

In June of 2012, Pastor Kevin Koslowsky was elected by the congregation to be FPC's sixth Senior Pastor.

In 2012 they selected a project in cooperation with Faith Church and the American Red Cross, the SIA Safe Haven Home – an emergency shelter for families who are displaced due to fire, natural disasters, or domestic violence.

2013

In its desire to continually impact its community in creative and constructive ways, Faith Church opened Faith West in August of 2013.

2016

The Hartford Hub, a 3,166 sq.ft. neighborhood resource center and outdoor park, was built in 2016.

2017

In 2017 Faith church started Restoration Men's Residential Program on Bethany Farms.

2018

He has been a pastor, youth pastor, adjunct professor, and an ESL teacher in Asia before arriving at FCC in March, 2018.

The Northend Community Center (NCC) opened in 2018 as a picture of community health and an example of what compassion, collaboration, and coordination can achieve.

2019

Eric assumed the senior leadership position in July, 2019 after serving for over a year as Associate Pastor.
