The Bid Estimator is a critical cross-functional contributor who supports preconstruction planning, solution development, and program-level coordination for mission-critical Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS) projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Estimating & Costing Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and scope of work to prepare detailed BMS cost estimates. Produce accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost breakdowns. Generate bills of quantities, take-offs, and pricing schedules. Assess project risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative design solutions to optimize costs. Bid Preparation Prepare technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. Coordinate with engineering teams to clarify system architecture, control strategies, and equipment selections. Present bid summaries and recommendations to management. Support the sales team with pricing strategies and tender clarifications. Procurement & Vendor Coordination Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Verify vendor technical compliance and pricing accuracy. Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and external partners. Project Support Participate in pre-bid meetings, design workshops, and customer engagement sessions as the technical representative. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in BMS, or control systems-preferably within data center or mission-critical environments. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (HVAC controls, PLC/DDC controllers, sensors, networking, IoT integration). EPMS knowledge and experience is a plus Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control system drawings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's Degree (in one of the following fields: Construction Management, Project Management, Construction, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields) or Experience: 5 years experience in the electrical field and 1 year of electrical estimating experience Travel: 50-100% - Locations include: Jackson, MS; Menasha, WI; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Phoenix, AZ; Kansas City, KS. Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, organizes, and staffs electrical/automation/MES construction projects. Ensures that projects are completed safely, profitably, timely, of a high quality and according to customer expectations. Identifies and generates new business. Networks, establishes, and maintains customer relationships. Promotes a positive Company Culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations. Works with Purchasing Department and vendors to ensure effective material coordination. Attends daily, weekly and monthly meetings (i.e., ORM's, Staffing Meeting, Jobsite Meetings, Project Manager Meeting, Financial Meeting, etc.). Participates in bi-annual field performance review process; conducts effective employee performance reviews in a timely manner; coaches employees on future growth opportunities, maintains high integrity relations, and establishes field merit wage increases. Partners with Human Resources to optimize recruiting and selection, employee relations, and other related topics as it pertains to direct reports. Reviews outgoing estimates with Estimating Department to ensure accuracy. Visits various jobsites and interacts with crew, customers, foreman, and general contractors to ensure proper job progress and to support and encourage safe behavior. The Licensed Foreman I is responsible for supervising electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial and industrial settings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours) Travel: 60-75% Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES All previous classification requirements must be continually satisfied. Maintains current licensing and training requirements. Demonstrates ability to run medium-size projects (5-10 electricians) effectively. Establish expectations and motivates crews to consistently meet or beat goals. Consistently completes projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner. Demonstrates ability to complete basic paperwork (i.e., foreman logs, performance evaluations, purchase order logs, time cards, etc.) in a timely manner. Effectively manages resources (tools, equipment, staffing) within crew. Reads and understands estimates, with the assistance of project management or superintendent, as a part of the installation and layout of a project. Consistently provides feedback and coaching to crew members including utilizing the Field Evaluation form/process. Takes the initiative to run a thorough ORM. Is conscious of safe and unsafe acts on the jobsite and addresses and eliminates hazards accordingly. Consistently enforces and promotes workplace safety procedures (weekly toolbox talks, weekly safety audits, appropriate documentation, etc.) Actively mentors and develops others within projects and crews. Supports usage of Faith internal resources to include, but not limited to Excellerate, Precon, APC, Productivity, Engineering, Estimating, etc. Maintains compliance with company policies; consults with HR and/or Workforce Managers (PM if appropriate) to ensure consistent corrective measures are taken, and documentation completed. Demonstrates excellent customer relations through utilization of effective problem-solving techniques. Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
