Bus Monitor Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct daily child health observation to determine child health status or injuries for children boarding the bus.
Obtain and secure child medications for proper pickup and delivery utilizing safe handling procedures and documenting such activities appropriately.

Coordinate with Director of Family Services, Health, and Nutrition to assure that all PIR data is up to date in the data system.
Education Services: Provide prenatal and postpartum information, education and services to pregnant women and their families.
Support enrolled pregnant women and their families with prenatal and postpartum information that addresses:
Fetal development
Importance of nutrition
Risks of alcohol, drugs, and smoking
Labor and delivery, postpartum recovery
Mental health
Infant care
Safe Sleep Practices, and
Benefits of feeding
Immunizations
Provide a newborn visit with each mother and baby, ensuring the visit is scheduled within two weeks after the birth of the child.
Address the needs and appropriate support for emotional well-being, nurturing and responsive caregiving, and father engagement during pregnancy and early childhood.
Family Support and Partnership Services: Engage enrolled pregnant moms, teenagers, and other relevant family members in a process of collaborative partnership building and in family partnership services.
Engage parent (s) in the development of the program options, plan or the infant's transition to program enrollment, and support the family during the transition process, where appropriate.
Assess children on an on -going basis. Gather and organize anecdotal notes into the key goals and objectives and documents in child assessment system.
Provide at least two parent-teacher conferences per year.
Provide a minimum of 46 weekly home visits utilizing a research-based curriculum to share prenatal and postpartum information.
Provide a minimum of 22 group socialization activities (twice monthly) per year.
Provide opportunities for parents to increase their child observation skills and to share assessments with staff to help plan for learning experiences.
Work with enrolled pregnant women and other relevant family members to complete a family assessment that will inform targeted services provided.
Establish positive and productive relationships with families focusing on building trust and rapport.

What Health System Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.
Health System Pharmacy is responsible for providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals, health systems and other integrated healthcare providers may also consult with and advise healthcare team on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes.
This is a PRN/As Needed Pharmacist position to cover full or half-days and occasional on-call duty. This position is located in Rio Grande City, TX at Starr County Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy managed by Cardinal Health.
Job Summary
Working in a hospital system pharmacy outsourced to Cardinal Health, the Pharmacist II adjusts and dispenses medication to patients and drives the compliant and efficient operations of the pharmacy. The Pharmacist verifies physician orders using the pharmacy information system, makes adjustments according to protocols for a given medication, and provides patient education. This job also supervises Pharmacy Technicians and manages compliance tasks related to accreditation, narcotics control, and inventory management.
Responsibilities:
Applies expert knowledge of drugs and related protocols, to verify physician orders for medications using pharmacy information system. Checks drug and dose in relation to stated patient issue and addresses automated alerts from the system regarding drug type, dose, and other metrics.
Supervises Pharmacy Technicians to ensure the compliant and efficient operations of the pharmacy. Checks all work of Pharmacy Technicians in line with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations and provides guidance on complex prescriptions, pharmacy automation systems, orders, and other issues.
Adjusts dosages based on established protocols for each drug, ensuring that dosages are appropriate for the patient's condition and in light of other medications the patient is using and completes clinical tasks related to antimicrobial stewardship.
Educates patients on the proper use and expected effects of medications, especially when patients are using multiple medications, are beginning new regiments, or are being discharged.
Manages narcotics and inventory control and compliance, including regular documentation and completion of checklists. Audits outdated medication in states where Pharmacy Technicians are not permitted to do so.
Contacts Nurses and Physicians as necessary to verify orders and obtain additional information regarding the order.
Assists the Pharmacy Director in maintaining the pharmacy's accreditation and in implementing operational changes within the pharmacy, such as the use of new systems or adjustments of standard procedures.
Qualifications
Licensed, “good standing” pharmacist in the state of Texas or willing to become licensed in the state
In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred

IV certification
