You will be the Aircraft Mechanic, for the Aircraft Maintenance Team which is responsible for comprehensive care of the F‑35 fleet, from launch and recovery to full‑spectrum maintenance. This position is located at our Fallon, Nevada site. What You Will Be Doing
As the Aircraft Mechanic, F‑35 - Level 3 you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, nose‑to‑tail maintenance on F‑35 aircraft while supporting mission readiness.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform comprehensive F‑35 maintenance, inspections, and servicing across all aircraft systems in accordance with directives.
- Execute field‑level modifications and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) actions.
- Provide on‑the‑job training to interim contract support, military maintainers, and international organic maintainers.
- Maintain accurate aircraft records in ALIS/CMMS and keep production staff updated on aircraft status.
- Adhere to safety procedures, practice good housekeeping, and work first, second, or third shift as required.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Physical requirements - regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and enter confined spaces.
Basic Qualifications
Two years' recent (within one year) aviation experience as 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR USN NEC, CDI/CDQAR USMC or US Army Aviation attack helicopter maintenance technician.
Or
General & Airframe or a General & Powerplant rating with any previous aviation maintenance experience.
Or
Full A&P license with no aviation maintenance experience.
Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security program
Desired skills
F-35 or 5th Generation Fighter Experience.
Experience with the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
Ejection seat tear-down/build up experience.
Joint Technical Data navigation (JTD) experience
Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle
Interface (MVI) experience
Anomaly Fault Resolution System (AFRS) experience
Fuel systems experience.
Low Observable (LO) repair and maintenance experience.
Fiber Optic repair and maintenance experience.
Avionics troubleshooting and repair experience
Experience performing in a role of task trainer.
Aircraft Armament, explosives handling, and weapons loading experience.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Operates radio and coordinates with airfield control tower and operations to sweep aircraft mats, pads, and runways.
* Checks conditions of taxiways and runways and reports discrepancies.
* Checks all fluid levels and refills as required before operating.
* Checks all tires for wear and air before operating.
* Greases and lubricates moving parts as required.
* Operates radio and coordinates with airfield control tower for clearance and directions to where to sweep.
* Checks runways and taxiways prior to airfield opening and reports any discrepancies to air traffic control tower.
* Coordinates with operations to sweep aircraft mats and pad eyes.
* Cleans sweeper as needed.
* Performs minor adjustments in accordance with Daily Operators Checklist.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Mandatory:
* Must have valid Class B State issued Driver's License.

* Sander/ snowplow experience.
* Ability to operate forklifts up to 20,000 and other heavy equipment.

3-5 years experience involved in the following maintenance: Digital/analog signal processing; synchro-servo circuits; Radar and radar theory; Electromechanical devices; Video signal processing and recording, large projectors; Communications (multiplexer equipment); Digital/analog computer systems; High voltage power supplies; Test equipment; Optical equipment; RF signal processing; Antenna systems; Low-voltage AC equipment; Auto-transfer (UPS) equipment;
Two years of formal technical training may be substituted for two years of experience.
Must possess excellent writing skills and strong communication skills.
Must be able to read and write in the English language.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Formal classroom education, equivalent to Navy “A” and “C” schools or vocational school, in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and repair.
