Upon successful passing of the POPS test, candidates will then be scheduled for a Merit Board and possibly a Command Staff interview. Arrive early enough before practice, contests, meetings to adequately prepare and remain until all players have departed. Assist with planning and implementation of both in-season and out-of-season conditioning and weight programs. Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Maintain current knowledge in the sport. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College degree is desired. Previous coaching or playing experience in assigned position. Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate, a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university and one year of experience coaching in a school athletic program Must be at least 21 years of age per KHSAA guidelines. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of a criminal records check, AIDS awareness training, current certification in first aid and CPR.
