Assist Family Services Specialist and/or Intervention Specialist to achieve identified family goals for safety, permanency, and well-being as specified within the Family Centered Services and DHHS case plan in O'Brien and surrounding counties Osceola, Lyon, Cherokee and Sioux. Responsibilities: Supports the FSS and/or IS to ensure families receive the required level of support and resources. Work with families to successfully resolve barriers to safely have their children returned to their care. Provide opportunities for children to visit/interact with their parent(s) and/or siblings. Transports clients as needed. Requirements: Provides services in accordance with contract expectations for frequency and duration. Completes service documentation in accordance with FAC expectations as outlined in policy. FCS Professional (Full-Time) We are seeking caring individuals to join our team. We work on supporting and empowering individuals and families to overcome life's challenges by providing quality services in Kossuth and the surrounding counties. Requirements: Associate of Arts degree and two years of full-time experience in human services. Job Responsibilities: Provide in-home intervention to children and their families utilizing skill-based, evidence-based practices to help families implement solutions to problems and strengthen families. Act as a resource, provider & advocate families to promote child welfare. Provide evidence-based interventions and case management support under contractual responsibilities. Utilize collaborative documentation. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community partners including DHHS, medical providers, “parent partners,” lawyers, therapists, law enforcement staff, school officials, neighbors, fictive kin, emotional supports, and referral sources. Provides evidence-based practices to families and individuals associated with the family, utilizing Solution-Based Casework, SafeCare, Child Safety Conferences, Motivational Interviewing, SFM & YTDM meetings. Maintain an appropriate level of direct contact with families per program requirements and remain available to families 24/7 for crisis intervention as needed. Ensure professionalism through role modeling, and respect. Utilize own vehicle to travel to work destinations and transport youth as authorized, provide services in the community, or in the primary home of the child and family. Report and document emergencies and critical incidents involving family members or staff. Participate actively in individual, group, and organizational supervisions/trainings. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Essential Functions Requirements: Applicant must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently.
