Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* The selected candidate will participate in tasks related to the maintenance of trees within park sites, right-of-ways, and along hike & bike trails within Precinct One.
* You will be experienced with climbing trees and cutting down limbs while using the proper safety devices. \
* In addition, you will use lifts, buckets, or extended truck booms and power tools to gain access to high areas.
* Prune or treat trees or shrubs using handsaws, pruning hooks, shears, and clippers.
* Fill in the cavities of trees with chemicals to promote healing.
* Remove debris and cart away large limbs for disposal using shovels, rakes, and other tools.
* Clear sites, streets, and grounds of woody and herbaceous material, such as tree stumps and fallen trees and limbs.
* Reshape trees to create aesthetically pleasing shapes.
* Assist with tree risk assessment and manage tasks in accordance with tree removal risk reduction.
