Position Summary: We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct medical assessments for veterans. This role is exclusively focused on independent medical assessments and does not involve treatment. You will be responsible for reviewing medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal. These assessments will assist the VA in making accurate disability determinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments of veterans to document current health conditions.
Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
Ensure that all DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
Assess up to four veterans daily.
Schedule: 1 day every other week, 1 day per month, or 2 half days per month

At all our primary care sites, our multi-disciplinary teams focus on providing excellent medical care and supporting our patients' emotional and social needs, both adults and children. As a primary care medical home, we serve 28,000 patients annually throughout our six health care centers, 34-chair dental clinic, and mobile health center - a 40-foot converted RV. We are an innovative non-profit organization, with the focus on providing exceptional health care to all who have barriers to care and include integrative behavioral and dental health care in our practices.
At all our primary care sites, our multi-disciplinary teams focus on providing excellent medical care and supporting our patients' emotional and social needs, both adults and children. These teams include a mix of physicians, family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, integrated behavioral health team, nurses, MAs, registration personnel, and team leads. Each team has a clinical leader, and our practice also employs a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Our primary care sites provide outpatient services with no inpatient or obstetrical responsibilities.

* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or community-based care is preferred.
