Position Description: Home Care Advantage is hiring for the following positions: Day, Overnight, Evening Caregiver (non-licensed/licensed) to support clients with the tasks of daily living as outlined in a written care plan that is established by the partnering agency and State. The Caregiver will be responsible for supporting clients.
Duties: The duties of a Caregiver may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support multiple clients as needed; assist with covering caregiver leave of absences/shift changes.
- Provide training and onboarding support for new and existing employees
- Promote Home Care Advantage services
- Planning and preparing meals and snacks according to specific dietary requirements of the client. Wash dishes and clean kitchen.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment through light housekeeping including changing bed linens,
- Dusting and vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, and doing laundry.
- Assist with daily hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and toilet use.
- Providing companionship and stimulation for the client including reading.
- Performing other housekeeping tasks as indicated in the care plan.
- Participating in in-service education programs
- Employee May Not: Administer or prepare any medication for the client.
- Serve as a Mandatory Reporter identifying any signs of abuse/neglect and report concerns without delay
Qualifications:
1. Must have a satisfactory work record, with experience as a caregiver preferred. Home Care Advantage, LLP must be able to verify three work or personal references, and caregiver must complete the agency's employment process including registry and
criminal background checks.
2. Must be at least 19 years of age.
3. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
4. Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position.
5. Must exhibit mature, responsible behavior, and understand the need for patient confidentiality. Must be able to communicate with client and carry out instructions.
6. Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
7. Must be able to follow direction and accurately report to the Administrator any change in client's condition.
8. Must attend ongoing training when offered.
9. Must have reliable personal vehicle for transportation to and from assignments. A Company vehicle may be available based on location.
10. Adhere to Home Care Advantage, LLP Policies and Procedures.
