Summary:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are part of a team who provide community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is done one-on-one or part of a group. The support provided promotes overall community involvement and independence for the individuals we support. Always ensure the health and safety of members.
Provide instructional support while assisting members with the implementation of their yearly individual service agreement while encouraging independence.
Promote quality community connections for members while seeking and developing opportunities for new experiences and connections.

Position Overview
Mature Caregivers is actively seeking Companions to work with our elderly clients. In this role, you will provide social, emotional, and practical support to older adults. Tasks typically include 1:1 engagement through conversation, participating in activities like games, cards, reading or going for a walk, taking the client out to social engagements or shopping/errands, fixing simple meals or snacks. Companions may also assist with medication reminders and light housekeeping.
