This non-certified caregiver role is ideal for individuals who are interested in starting a career in healthcare - no prior certification required. We provide training to help you succeed. In this role, you'll care for the physical and emotional needs of residents, helping ensure quality of life in a safe, home-like environment while offering support to families and visitors. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team and maintain professionalism while meeting state and federal guidelines. Summary The Nursing Assistant provides direct personal care and support to residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff. This role focuses on assisting with activities of daily living, promoting resident comfort and dignity, and supporting a positive care environment. Training is provided for candidates who demonstrate compassion, reliability, and a desire to grow in senior care. This role may also be known as: Nursing Assistant, Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Patient Care Assistant. Safety Requirements Follow proper resident care procedures, including two-person lifts when required Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation Participate in company drug testing procedures Work Environment This role is performed in an indoor skilled nursing environment with regular interaction with residents, families, and staff.
