Turning a family dollar store that got robbed regulary and the theft rate extremely high into a nice and safe place to shop
When I took on the role of being the greeter/loss prevention I changed the family dollar store on Michigan St in haughville
I don't have a favorite benefit
I don't like anything about the leadership at least not from district manager Christina Torres and loss prevention Randall Thomas and shouldn't have the positions they have

I have nothing good to say about the family dollar store that I work at
The district manager and loss prevention don't deserve there position's
Keeping the woman employees safe and putting a stop to alot of the theft that takes place
I thought when I was hired at family dollar in oak park was my dream job but evidently there’s some behind the scenes favoritism going on.
I loved working here I mean it was security for me and kids and I’ll admit I was late on several occasions but on 01/26/2024 I called and spoke with Rico and told him I had some family emergency going on I would be there he never communicated with other leadership and I spent for a lift to rush to work by 4:00pm.to be fired just no write ups warned I would be transferred but never fired.
The perks was my favorite customers and being able to purchase things and take my kids different things I love this job it’s my life.
I don’t know to much about the ceo it’s never brought up in conversation but I know with this situation that happen quite sure I’ll be in contact with someone.
Stealing, favoritism, and the respect of your boss just very disrespectful others were stealing I never felt it’s my place but I’ve seen a lot in my 6 mos.there my boss Jim in oakpark have just been disrespectful to me and others
I was called after I did my application was told to finish my paperwork on line and they’ll set up a date for me to start.
I was never told about compensation but I came back to work after 2 weeks of giving birth because I was told if I didn’t I would be fired how inconsiderate huh.
Putting a smile on a customers face and just be able to have a job that you adore and knowing that GOD made all this happen.
The people i enjoyed helping people
The leadership was not interested in what was best for his management team. He was not willing to back them up when they needed his help to develop to the step.
Clean environment. Opportunity to learn. Very caring leadership
Long hours weekend work
Shift differential and the benefits were up to par
None no hours low pay always yelled at by management
No hours low pay no benefits no paid vacation dangerous work environment closed by fire marshal often the employee self service is a joke
None the worse place I have ever worked management and middle management only know how to run a store into the ground
The customer interaction was the best part of working at Family Dollar.
The lack of leadership, was the only thing I didn’t like about working for Family Dollar. The management team would speak down to the employees as well as the customers.
Weekly Pay
Relaxed atmosphere. kind managers
Slow traffic of consumers
Being able to purchase what I need for home, convenience.
The boss, Johnny, was easy to get along with
It was rarely busy as well as my hours were cut.
The boss was friendly, yet still got on my butt when needed. Making it clear what needed to be done
Customers are interesting. What happens in the surrounding area is fun to watch or be nosey. I also get to work on my strength up there as well.
My boss and how I get treated up there. There are some customers that are scary and pinning clothes. When your pinning you sometimes bleed from getting poked.
Nothing I don't get and perk or benefit
Learned many skills as an assistant manager
Do not like cleaning up after customers
Pay is tolerable but looking for more opportunities
I like how my coworkers their are helpful and it helps me manage money when working at the register.
I don’t like how my manager sometimes doesn’t keep me updated on what to do when I have to go in for a shift.
The people great atmosphere
The manager is mean
Didnt have any i was only there a year
Dealing with each customer working on my customer service skills
The management team and the pay
I had dental health and eye benefits
The networking and meeting new people
The way management ran the entire business. It lacked organization and professionalism.

no work life balance. You have to work alot of hours due to lack of management
employee moral is at it's all time high. Pay is fare, but benefits are good
Working with the public and being able to use my strengths in organization and creativity.
Heavy merchandise stock.
Close to home and health insurance.
The customer
It's hard sometimes when the stuff your moving weighs more then you
I like my boss an I'm greatful to have employment
Co workers
Non stop closing, can’t make it with $700 every 2 weeks, I get 40 hours and it pays so low, having to push sales, Chance of getting robbed at night so I stand by the door every night at 9pm until closing. I’m a ASM, or that’s what they call it, I’m tired of this job, don’t see my self wanting to be a Store Manager with such poor operation and managers don’t even have enough hours for their employees, I hope they improve
I like the fact that everyday I make a difference for the team
The environment
